Mitt Romney has a new job

(CNN) - Mitt Romney will return to the private sector.

The 2012 Republican presidential nominee will join Solamere Capital, the investment firm founded by his eldest son, Tagg.

Romney will serve as chairman of the firm's executive committee, where he'll advise on matters of private equity, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed Wednesday.

Romney has had office space at Solamere's Boston offices since the November election.

This story was first reported by NBC News.

The move is one more sign of Romney returning to post-election, private life. In December, he rejoined the board of directors at Marriott International, Inc., a position he held prior to his White House bid.

He'll re-enter the political sphere next week when he speaks at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, a major conservative gathering held in the Washington, D.C.-area.

Do we see a pattern here with this Romney guy? Case and point, Bane Capital, leaving to run for office without really letting go but keeping it within reach for just in cast measures (I am not on the board but I own the company or how about I don't own the company but I am on the board as a consultant and advisor) My son owns the company, I just lease an office there . 😦

Everyone feel better now. The problem is people like you Jon don't think a successful business man belongs in politics yet we have a major economical issue going on right now and whose in a charge? A man who has no idea what he's doing and is focused on passing progressive bills that are not helping us out of these financial woes. Time to stop being jealous of success and get out and accomplish something in your lives.

All the commenters here will revile Romney for being successful. They prefer unqualified losers – which is who they voted for and got as president again. And people like "rs" who try and sound intelligent, maybe you should just not talk about things you don't have a clue about and maybe you won't sound as unintelligent as the president (are you suggesting isolationist trade? or no outsourcing and that we should provide every product and service in the US? maybe you should just read the back cover of an economics book and boost your IQ by 1000 fold)

Th t is where Romney belongs doing business of sending jobs overseas. He is never meant to be president of this great country inspite of his aspirations. He would have ruined the country from rising up again.

Decent hard working honest people do not belong in GOV it is against the rules for Politicians to be hard working honest or work for the good of the people, I would choose the real world of Commerce and private sector over the sleazy liars hypocrite back stabbing world of the do nothing hate mongering politicians.

I wondered how long it would take for CNN to do another fluff piece on Romney. Who cares??? He lost and now he is going back to doing what he does best...hiding his money from the IRS in off shore accounts.

Too bad he didn't get the job he applied for, President of this country of ours. We will never know how good it would have been for us to have him as our CEO, running this country like the business it is supposed to be.
A lot of people wished for something else and one must always be careful what they wish for.
In a few more years, people will be wishing for "do overs".
