New York (CNNMoney) – Republican House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan proposed Tuesday to eliminate the annual deficit by 2023, in large part by cutting projected spending growth over the next decade by roughly $5 trillion.
The plan, which contains many of the same provisions he offered last year, hits all the GOP high notes: less spending, lower tax rates and a rejection of most of President Obama's health reforms.

Do the numbers add up any better this time around than they did the last time Paul Ryan proposed a budget?
Republicans have lost the "repeal Obamacare" for three years running. Continuing to haggle over it is reneging on the Will Of The People, who clearly expressed their preference at the polls. Telling the public that conservatives will ignore voters because they know what is best for the country is the exact sort of government control and take over that they constantly accuse liberals of conspiring to commit.
Ryan will uphold the expiration of Bush's tax cuts, because it's LAW, but will repeal the Affordable Health Care Act, because it's L, no wait, it's LAW too. How can that be??
The answer to the headline is disasters !!!! The gop has never had a sucessful economic policy , ever !!!! Over 30 of the largest companies in the USA pay. No. Taxes ???? Time to change that ,the gop cries about the defict but guess what , they caused it and continue to give these companies a free ride. 2014 mid terms will turn the tide when the gop loses the house !!!!!
Here we go again. You republicans just need to live with the fact that the Affordable Care Act -aka- Obamacare is the law of the land and it is NOT being repealed. Get it through your head already. Why doesn't Ryan's budget close the tax loopholes? His running mate last year was in agreement with the President on closing tax loopholes. All this lowering rates talk is a bunch of BS.
The only way he can get the repugs to have cover on the Medicare part is to put in the repeal of the ACA. If they vote against his bill they will be seen as supporting the ACA.
Same old garbage, different day. The numbers still dont add up

Ryan Plan 1.0 = 40 years
Ryan Plan 2.0 = 30 years
Ryan Plan 2.1 = 25 years
Ryan Plan 3.0 = 10 years
Do you get the feeling that somone is trying to sell you something? Because nothing has really changed from one iteration to the next. Version 3.0 includes the revenue from the expiring Bush Tax Cuts and the $700 billion in Medicare cuts from Obamacare, except Ryan just cuts the money from Medicare and funds a tax cut for the "job creators"..
35 votes were passed in the last Congress repealing the ACA, 35 votes that went nowhere. This is an insult to something that has been upheld by the SCOTUS, and that people now support. Ryan is wasting our time and our money with this pointless stunt.
I have no idea what this man credibility is? He told a lot of lies during his last run with Romney. He didn't even win his state. As far as his intellectual power concerned it seems it is mythical because there is no proof to it. The fact that his math doesn't add up for analyzers is troubling. But this much attention is given to him. What a lucky guy. He is blind disciple for Ayn Rand philosophy and a moppet for his sponsors.
Lying Ryan plan just seems like groundhog day to me.
@RudyNYC:
Yep. To quote MaryM. "Same old garbage". I'm surprised he's kept the expiring Bush tax cuts. Whatever will Grover think? I can absolutely understand gutting Medicare to give our "job creators" another tax cut, too. Can't have too many jobs in America, now can we? Especially for our very, very senior citizens who want nothing more than to spend their golden years as WalMart door greeters. After all, these "job creators" are the bread and butter of our very existence ... yes?

Humm,
It remains to be seen of course, but the President may just be phsycing himself to finally support the cold hard facts and see the truth. Some people saw the writing on the wall a long time ago that liberal policies were doomed to failure.

Things that make you say, "Hmm."
1. After 12 years under Reagan and Bush-41, the ecoomy crashed in the Savings & Loan Scandals.
2. After 8 years under Bush-43, the economy collapsed as Wall Street bankrupted itself.
3. After 8 years under Clinton, the economy had resurged and the governemnt was running a surplus.
"Nice try, but we gotcha."
What aren't really being talked about are the assumptions of growth that Ryan has used in his budget planning. Some of them are unrealistic. Why doesn't Ryan say what he assumes so that we can better understand where he is coming from (could it be from fantasy island?).
The federal budget can be balanced tomorrow. If we have the guts to do the following.
Dismantle to two biggest SOCIAL programs
SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE.
Why should I support people that didn't plan for there retirement.
Can anyone help me please to understand??? Is this young lad Paul Ryan thinking??? The Affordable Health Act has been approved as law of the land. His leader John Boehner said it, the Chief Justice of the entire nation Justice John Robert said it, the entire nation sat for some hours to listen for the outcome from the Supreme Court the day it was declared officially the law of the land. How come this loser Ryan, can not give himself a grip and think all about these?? Does he think all these people were wasting their time to do what is required for the poor people?? Am getting pissed off of this kind of politics. It is totally wastage of time and no one has his/her valuable time to be wastage on this kind of nonsense.
ACA law of the land, DOMA law of the land, Roe V Wade law of the land. Laws can be changed or administrations can choose not to enforce them.
Ryan releases his budget, stocks tumble.

Spin it any way you want, Rudolph, but the overwhelming cause of the dire financial straits we're in is LBJ's Great Society programs of the 60's, which have done NOTING to imporve poverty rates nor made our society any "greater". And try to use a catch phrase that the Reverend Al hasn't already trademarked, k?

So, in other words, you are willing to throw away thousands of years of Judeo-Christian ethics in favor of an atheist who lived off of her husband's Social Security payments: in other words, Ayn Rand, Ryan's patron saint?
By the way,w hy should I support people who can't spell or use punctuation properly?
Oh I hope there's some relief for the 1%. Oh dear, the other article just informed me of how rich people, get this... pay more taxes! This makes their bracket number 1 in total money given back in taxes. What philanthropic, generous people. Thank you 1%. Have you been told that lately? We, the 99% (and most of the 1%) would really like to thank you for how much you've helped this country's economy, and how much you've brought a sense of ethics back to business. I think in the last 15 years, we've seen some real economic equity shining through and we really should thank you. I'm sure in this tough Obama-economy its probably been tough paying those extra nannys and opers, and maids and cooks for all of your houses, and your yachts. When someone has dirty yacht, that can be traumatizing I know. Believe me the 99% understand.
Please read the far-more-intelligent responses to said article and learn that, as you might expect, its income growth where almost everyone is getting poorer everyday going back to 1986. In the early 80's CEO's made about 15 bucks to every 1 dollar of the entry level employee. Now its around 50 to 1. The fastest growing jobs in America are the lowest paying jobs in America working for the richest corporations in America.
So basically, the 1% are saying, "Hey, we legislated tons of loopholes using unstoppable corporate lobbies and got super rich by exploiting you the 99%, and now we're so silly rich that we've completely lost touch with reality to the point that we're now COMPLAINING that we have to pay more taxes, and trying to leverage even better tax rates for ourselves by bragging about how much of the deficit we pay."
As a conscientious member of the 99%, its embarrassing to live in country with such a self-serving, non-progressive upper class, but everything goes in cycles, just hang on for a decade or so.
Change will only come from the people

What's in Paul Ryan's budget ?
It's a surprise ! Less spending, lower tax rates and a rejection of most of President Obama's health reforms.
Who dose Ryan work for Big Pharma ,Big Insurance or the American people .
Ohh , thats right corporations are people too .
A least he has enough guts to put a proposal on paper. To bad President Obama does not have a similar level of courage.
