First on CNN: Valerie Jarrett's chief of staff to depart White House

Washington (CNN) - Michael Strautmanis, chief of staff to President Barack Obama's senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, is leaving his White House post in the next month, according to a White House official.

Strautmanis has accepted a job at the Walt Disney Company, where he'll focus on corporate citizenship and will be based in Los Angeles, the official said.

Yohannes Abraham, who was deputy national political director for the Obama 2012 campaign, will replace Strautmanis.

Can someone please explain just what exactly is "corporate citizenship", and why it commands a six figure, or more, salary?

Most liberals are better qualified to work at Disney than D.C., hopefully they are hring even in the face of sequester.

As far as Corporate Citizenship, it's probably the professional term for more racist diversity and EEO policies, just a guess.

I wish him well. Can't blame him for wanting to be in a warmer climate both naturally and politically. D.C. is a cold, cold place to live and work...

If you need to ask, then you probably would not understand the answer the first time you heard it.

Why does this woman need a chief of staff?

By the way, his salary would pay for several weeks of White House tours...

Allow me to state the obvious. He no longer earns a salary. It has been cut.

Actually Guest, it is more likely the term that describes corporations not being greedy, money only driven, enivironmental trashing, compassion lacking, employee screwing jerks. You know, Republicans

  12. Get over it

Rather ironic that he's taking a job at Disney to get out of Fantasyland.

"Guest-Most liberals are better qualified to work at Disney than D.C., hopefully they are hring even in the face of sequester"

Most Reich-wingers aren't qualified to walk to a 7-11, let alone act like they're "In the know" You're a prime example.
