Jerusalem (CNN) – The United States is Israel's closest and most important ally, and when there are tensions – over issues like Iran, for example, the Israeli complaint is usually something to the effect of "Washington is too far away to fully understand."
Whether or not you agree, it's worth noting Israel's place in an always complicated neighborhood that is especially uncertain at the moment.
(CNN) - Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper on Wednesday signed three gun-control measures into law, including one that will require universal background checks for gun sales.
The measures also will make buyers pay for their own background checks and limit ammunition magazines to 15 rounds.
The Colorado laws go into effect July 1.

(CNN) – Stepping off Air Force One Wednesday in Tel Aviv, President Barack Obama seemed to breathe a sigh of relief at escaping a gridlocked Washington.
"It's good to get away from Congress," Obama was heard telling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a formal arrival ceremony at the Ben Gurion Airport. The quip elicited a big laugh from Netanyahu and a grin from Obama, who then posed for photos.

Jerusalem (CNN) – An official limousine awaiting President Barack Obama's arrival in Israel malfunctioned Wednesday but the Secret Service now says the reason for the mechanical problem had nothing to do with the type of fuel used, as first reported.

CNN: Computer outage in South Korea hits broadcasters and bank
South Korean police said Wednesday they are investigating a computer outage that has struck systems at leading television broadcasters and banks, prompting the military to step up its cyber alert level amid concerns about North Korea. One television station, YTN, reported that 500 of its computers had been disabled by the outage. Another, KBS, said that its internal networks had been "paralyzed," but that the problem didn't prevent it from broadcasting live.
