Hillary Clinton to speak next month in New York

(CNN) – Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will make one of her first public appearances since leaving the Obama administration when she speaks at the annual Women in the World Summit next month, the Daily Beast and Newsweek, presenters of the summit, announced Thursday.

Clinton has attended the New York summit every year since it started in 2010. This year's event takes place April 4 and 5.

When she speaks April 5, Clinton will be joining a program that features actress Meryl Streep, media mogul Oprah Winfrey and Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice.

The summit focuses on global issues and challenges faced by women and girls around the world, a topic Clinton prioritized during her time at Foggy Bottom.

Her speech next month will surely draw strong attention, as the former first lady and former U.S. senator is considered a potential presidential candidate for 2016.

And expect more of those speeches to come.

Clinton signed up last month with Harry Walker Agency to represent her on the speaking circuit. The same agency represents her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and a host of other high-profile names from politics and media, including former Vice President Al Gore and former Vice President Dick Cheney.

Clinton made headlines this week when she officially announced support for same-sex marriage. Clinton had previously hinted at her support but avoided taking political positions as secretary of state, which is customary for the role.

Public opinion polls show Clinton would enter the presidential race with a strong advantage. A Quinnipiac University survey released Thursday, for example, indicated that Clinton would topple two of Florida's popular sons, former Gov. Jeb Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio. She also comes out on top in another swing state – Pennsylvania - according to a poll released last week.

A separate Quinnipiac survey earlier this month also showed Clinton as the Democratic favorite. She would lead New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, the top pick for the Republican nomination in 2016, the poll indicated.

How many times in her political career has she claimed "amnesia" or selective memory loss? Too many times to count. "What does it matter, says Hillary"?. By God! Let US never forget!

Oprah's going to re-sruface? Her influence isn't what it used to be.... she lost half her audience back in 2008. And Susan Rice? The liar during the Benghazi attacks? And it's for global issues facing women?? What possible advice can she give – latch onto a man that can take you to the top, and stay with him even if he has multple affairs – while serving as president of the US – take abuse from another man who won the presidency by slandering your very existence, serve under his adminsitration, just to get to the top again – and then run for president? Is that what women's issues are all about? Don't think so. That's not what strong, ethical, principled women are all about. Hilary is a fake and an opportunist – and nothing more. Oh, almost forgot...What difference does it make????!!!

Hillary already said she won't run. But I guess that's not good enough for CNN. It's obvious that they are afraid of the possible Republican candidates, and have to manufacture some kind of hope for the left. Hillary is the strongest candidate for the left in 2016, and frankly, that's kind of sad. She is no more of as asset to the left than Romney was to the Republicans. But not to worry, liberals, CNN and the rest of the MSM will do their best to help get her elected, just like they did with Obama.

oh hell Hillery is on the prowl yall, i wonder what the repubs are cooking up for her. i hope they are not planning on the historical obstruction which they are currently doing to this president on her, because you know the clintons is not playing that game. all those outrageous lies and demogogry from the fox news and their ilk wont work with her. hey right now the repubs has fox news, fox business news, cnbc, and 20 to 1 right winged radio stations throwing everything that wrong with this nation and blaming the president. msnbc is the only back up the dems have, and if nbc, cbs, cnn, and any one of those bi-partisan morning television shows ever cast this president in a good light, they are jumped on by fox and her affiliates as lame street media. i know Hillery wont have to deal with this crap if she ever takes office, so the dems have a bright future.

She will bring a large voting block to the booths, expect more benghazi demands, all the while acting as though the iraq war was just and necessary, if you only knew how pathetic, and disrespectful you are. never mind the four or five thousand killed for taxpayers money, which it was. they have no shame. bush and cheney should be in hauge, then shot, for war crimes

IF/when she decides to run for President , I sure hope she REALLY clears the facts regarding Bengazzi. That would be the only issue that could hold up her run. Stating it didn't matter who/what happen there, was not the brightest thing that came from her.

Ah yes, I had forgotten that Hillary had signed on to do some speaking engagements, no wonder there was another Benghazi meeting.

The GOP is scared ishless of Hillary Clinton. They know NO ONE in their clown car can even come close to her, including Tony Soprano. Not only are they peeing their pants looking for something to have President Obama impeached for, because anyone that can read knows when Lincoln freed the slaves, he never meant for them to have equal rights as the white man, let alone hold office. How dare these stupid libruls elect that commie, Muslim, marxist? So they must find something to get rid of him. After all, what would Lincoln do? And they must destroy Hillary, because they know she will serve two terms and it will be a long time before they even get a chance to get back into the White House again.

CNN, can you do us a favor and stop bringing this photo of Hillary again and again. You have better photos you can use. Are you trying to send the message indirectly?? We like you, BUT if you will continue to click our nerves, we will abandon you. I hope there are a lot out there who feel the same as I do.

I know exactly what you mean. It seems like they use the absolute worst photos they can find of Hillary, President and Mrs. Obama.
