Obama follows up on past call to bolster U.S. infrastructure

(CNN) - President Barack Obama called Friday for Congress to fund proposals to expand public-private programs to build and repair modern ports, pipelines, schools and other infrastructure.

At a campaign-style event in Miami, Obama said strengthening the nation's infrastructure should be a non-partisan issue because it helps American business and creates jobs for the construction industry.

    yeah, all that is holding us back are thousands of union jobs for obama's union campaign supporters paid for with borrowed chinese money! briliiant!!

    if we didn't have record unemployment and record debt we might be able to afford some of these grandiose plans. obama really does believe we can spend our way to prosperity, just like greece, cyprus, itally, spain. of course he's never actually run anything or built anything so you have to excuse his childish beliefs. i'm sure he still believes in the easter bunny and santa claus because he sure tries to act like him.
