Sanford says fiancée surprised him at victory event

(CNN) - Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, who carried out an extramarital affair with Maria Belen Chapur while in office, told CNN in an interview Wednesday he was "completely" surprised when Chapur - now his fiancée - showed up to appear with him the night before when he claimed victory in the runoff for the GOP nomination for his old U.S. House seat.

Sanford was appearing on CNN's "The Lead with Jake Tapper."

It is nice that he has found happiness in life. People need to cut the guy a break. In matters of the heart, things are never easy.

Really, CNN. Why are you glorifying this man and his mistress?

And people are still wondering why nothing is done in Washington? The man can not manage his life, and people still want to send him there to manage peoples business? Where is the logic!

Pimp Daddy Sanford. Either this guy's pimp game is strong or the people of South Carolina are a bunch of idiots. I'm leaning towards the latter. I almost forgot that while Senor Sanford was governor, South Carolina had crumbling schools.

Will Sanford will be in Washington DC to vote on an issue matters for North Carolina, if the next exotic beauty comes and steel his heart? Let's hope so.

Who cares? This is considered important but the MSM and CNN deliberately ignore abhorrent, incendiary crap like this:

"If the media won’t, then voters must ask the pressing questions: Do these Democrats also believe a newborn has no rights? Do they also endorse infanticide?"
    -Reince Preibus

Really? Infanticide? How low CAN the GOP/Teatrolls sink? I suppose we're all going to have the fun of finding out because the MSM wants to help them push that envelope because it helps them sell advertising.

"The picture says it all. "I had an affair and paid for my travel with your money and you voted me back into office. Suckers!""

It's SC. If we took a vote right now in the other 49 states abotu whether we should boot them out of the union, they might survive, but it would be a close one.

Because they've been desperately trying to appeal to and scoop up Faux News viewers for the past couple years.

This guy is a real sleazeball. If the people of South Carolina elect him to Congress, they at least know what they got; a liar, a cheat and a phoney.

I can only imagine what Jenny Sandford will think when she watches this CNN video. It was her family's wealth, connections, and her own hard work as his political advisor that helped Mark Sanford get elected in the first place. No way would he be enjoying the fame and limelight without her even today. She even graciously stepped aside to allow him to run this time and he brings the other woman to his victory party. How can anyone even have respect for a guy like that, let alone vote for him?

Did you forgive John Edwards when he had an "affair of the heart"? Both are cheating, self-centered horn-dogs who lied to everybody including those who trusted them the most. One is a Republican – so he gets your "blessing". Did he ask Jesus to forgive him? They always do... You must have tan from sitting too close to Fox News.
