Tagg Romney: They messed with the wrong people

(CNN) – The perpetrator of Monday's terror bombing at the finish line of the Boston Marathon "messed with the wrong people," Tagg Romney asserted in an interview Tuesday.

"It's such a cowardly act, whoever did this," said Romney, the oldest son of 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney. "Then you see the warmth of the first responders, and the people around who rushed to the scene. Such a contrast to their bravery. It just really is a family event. And it's the best of Boston. It's wonderful to see how people have been responding and how people are pulling together."

Romney said he was at Fenway Park with his children watching the Red Sox, and had hopped in a cab moments before the duel explosions which left three dead and scores injured.

"It's such a horrifying and sickening event and it's so sad for the city," he said on CNN's "Starting Point."

A point of light, he said, is that "Bostonians are resilient."

"They're going to come together," he continued. "They messed with the wrong people. There's going to be a period of grief, I'm sure there will be some anger. And we're going to want to figure out how to keep this from happening again. Not just here but all over the country."

Tagg Romney, who lives in in the metro Boston area, was a key adviser to his father during last year's presidential campaign. He's the founder of Solamere Capital, a Boston-based investment firm.

No right, no left? Tell that to the President, who was on national news this morning talking about gun control. Astonishing. (even if taped earlier, the WH could have asked it be held back, they did not).

what I do object to is Mr. Romney as spokesperson. He is another in a long line of Republican plutocrats who will not dirty their hands in defense of our nation, or in pursuing these animals. Like Cheney, and others of the past administration, Romney likes to talk tough- and commit others to do what he desires.
    -------------------------------------------------
Correct rs. No truer words have been spoken.
I too object to this disrespectful boy in a man's body speaking for me or my country, that job belongs to our President.

George W. Bush kept the country safe after 9/11.

Under Obama, with Fort Hood, Benghazi, and a number of domestic close calls, and now the Boston Massacre, it's becoming clear we're not as safe.

    Elections have consequences.

Well, you are ignoring a few facts (no surprise), but really? Bush attacked the WRONG COUNTRY in response to 9/11 (and his fake WMDs). 125,000 innocent Iraqis- killed; 2 million Iraqi refugees, 4,400 American dead and almost $2 trillion flushed down the sewer. Yeah, Bush kept us safe alright!

These are 2 seperate issues: no number of people packing heat would have prevented a bomb from going off yesterday. He has a job to do: let the political consequences fall where they may for the President. We have a choice about falling into partisan bickering or doing the right thing: what will people choose is the question.

One thing is for sure – "THEY" don't have anything to worry about from the Romneys.... all they care about is money.

Every single one of them has refused military service. every single one of them is a coward.

And Anne "Princess" Rmoney has never worked a day in her life.

    -------------------------------------------------
Correct again, and here's the cherry to that scenario: he attacked the WRONG COUNTRY KNOWINGLY because his friends were in the RIGHT country.
The word BULLY was taken to a whole new other level with that one, as well as the global community's hatred and contempt towards the United States.
    Chew on that.

I apologise , I just read some more of your posts , you probably would pay the extra taxes , and I don't mean to link you to repubs / teabaggers . I am just so used to repubs suddenly changing their tune on spending cuts when it suits them , Like Rep King.

Perhaps not. Unlike the last President, this one isn't ADHD, and can in fact, multitask. Yesterday's event did not remove the scurge of the gun problem from our shores, and no matter how bad yesterday was, many, many more Americans will die needlessly because of guns in this country. That problem still needs to be fixed, and the vast majority of Americans want it fixed.

We need Sarah Palin as our next President. She will protect this country from harm and prevent such incidents like this from happening. This would have never happened if Palin is President right now.

If he was as tough as his speech, he would have joined the Marines 20 years ago.

"Together we stand the UNITED States of America"Evergreen, I certainly wish that were true. But as you read through the comments on this forum, people are still more intent on insulting each other than standing together. An innocent 8 year old boy died yesterday as the result of the bombing. As a runner, I have friends who were in that race. Hopefully they will find the guilty party. But, they may not.

Ah ... the "it's Obama's fault" parrot has landed on the ticker, sounding as pathetic as ever.

To be clear: Today I could care less about Bush or about Obama. Today I care about Boston. My prayers go out to all those who were harmed by this sniveling coward of the lowest order of humanity.

I never got a chance to see Barack's military enlistment papers....oh wait, they don't exist because he never served in the military. I would take a step back and look at the life of your precious Obama before you start criticizing others.
