Palin's special treat for Rand Paul

(CNN) – When Rand Paul took to the Senate floor to filibuster President Barack Obama's choice for CIA director, a conservative ally in Alaska took notice – and headed to the post office.

"I sent him some caribou jerky from Alaska to help keep up his strength on the Senate floor," Sarah Palin writes in this week's "Time 100" issue. "There's more where that came from for this bold Senator with 20/20 vision willing to take a stand for liberty."

The former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee's glowing blurb on the Kentucky senator is one of several political write-ups penned by fellow leaders in the annual list of influencers published by Time.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, honoring Obama, recalls his trip last year to Burma, the first for an American president.

"This was American leadership at its best," wrote Clinton, who was Obama's rival in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary, but who repaired ties during her tenure as the nation's top diplomat.

"President Obama is working to create broader prosperity at home and become more competitive abroad by investing in our people, modernizing our infrastructure, building a new energy future and managing our long-term fiscal challenges," Clinton writes in Time. "That's the course for a better future."

Obama also got a byline in the magazine, praising Sen. Tom Coburn, the conservative Republican from Oklahoma.

"Tom Coburn and I don't always agree on the issues. In fact, on the surface, we seem pretty different," the president writes, adding his friendship with Coburn originated when their wives met during a Senate orientation.

"The people of Oklahoma are lucky to have someone like Tom representing them in Washington – someone who speaks his mind, sticks to his principles and is committed to the people he was elected to serve," Obama continues, noting: "Each of us still hopes the other will see the light. But in the meantime, we'll settle for being friends."

Flipping the equation, Republican House Majority Leader Eric Cantor profiles Vice President Joe Biden, calling the second-in-command "a friend."

"His list of accomplishments is impressive, but most impressive to me is his ability to build bridges, bring people together and get things done," Cantor writes. "Even though we disagree on many issues, he creates opportunities for future collaboration. He does that by treating people with kindness and respect and by speaking with honesty and candor."

Another Sarah Palin article to insult your viewers intelligence with, CNN? Well, stubborn is as stubborn does. You've been courting this loser and her hate filled jealousy for 5 years now. Why stop digging at the bottom of the barrel at this late stage of the game ... yes?

So this article is trying to get some press for your sister publication, and using Sarah Palin to do it. CNN you really have sunk to a new low. Soon there will be no difference between you and Faux News.

And this is news why? Aren't there more important issues going on the world to report on other than this hatemongerer's caribou jerky? The headline reads "Palin's treat for Rand Paul" and the entire article isn't even about those two imbecils.

You mean her ghost writer wrote this. I seriously doubt this twit can even read, let alone write.

Palin and Paul are a perfect pair. As the 2016 Republican Clown Car starts to fill up one thing is clear... they've learned nothing from 2008 and 2012. The extreme kooks on the right-wing may win the primary election, since the far-right is a dedicated base for the current GOP. But America is tired of bigotry, intolerance, obstructionism, and extremism. A crazy like Paul could win the Primary but he would most certainly get spanked in the General Election.

I still think that Palin should no longer be covered since she won't run (or run and win) any political race in the next 50 years. Too many people have seen how foolish and ideological she is.

Really CNN? All kinds of important events occurring and you've got to dig up the Quitter from Wassilla to report on her inane two-cents about someone just as irrelevant as she is?

Palin has no respect for anyone other than herself. She isn't in the game to push America forward, she is in it because she likes playing games. Like a foolish child.

One thing we are starting to see with Sarah Palin is that she is often right on issues. She was right on New York banning large soft drinks and she was right on the gun ban. The reason McCain picked her was not because of her experience in foreign policy, McCain had that covered, it was because of her judgement. Decision making is the most important factor in picking a president. She has the moral temperment that Pres.Obama lacks. While he is obsessed with social issues, America is still at war.

I like you, and maybe you haven't met the man. He's a mean little pipsqueek bully. If Hillary had a son, it would be Rand. I don't have an issue with his policies....just the character of the man. Hitler made the trains run on time; nobody sent HIM jerky. Stop by for dinner some time, I'll tell you about Squeeky.
