Obama to attend memorial for victims of fertilizer plant explosion

(CNN) - President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama will go to Baylor University in Waco, Texas, on Thursday to attend a memorial service for the victims of last week's fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters Monday.

Obama, along with all the living former presidents, will be in Texas celebrating the opening of the George W. Bush Museum and Library in Dallas. He'll also attend a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee while in Texas.

I disagree with the President's policies and the manner in which he demagogues those who disagree with him.
That being said, as a Texan, than you Mr. President for paying your respects.

@ PJ. I never said you had to live near West to support them did I? How many people do you personally know from West? I know quite a few myself and i even helped put a buddy and his family up in a hotel since their house was destroyed. The people in West are focused on gettting their lives back on track. They arent waiting for the president to grace them with his presence. Get over yourself.

Who cares if he goes or not. He needs to roll up his sleeves and help the survivors, not stand around and run his mouth. But hey, his family is fine so it's all good. Not like he really cares about you or anything....
