A glimpse at a Bush White House before everything changed

Dallas (CNN) - It's getting harder to remember life before September 11, 2001, but as soon as you walk through the door, the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum aims to take you back there.

Bush was first elected on November 7, 2000, and sworn in on January 20, 2001, so the months before the 9/11 terrorist attack were but a brief moment in the Bush presidency.

Makes one logically wonder how much of 9/11 was in fact Clintons fault. After all he did scale back the military a lot.

Let's be honest about this. The Bush White House prior to 9/11 was an Administration seeking an excuse to invade Iraq. They got their excuse on 9/11 by fabricating a connection to Iraq but there would have been an invasion one way or another. Cheney, Wolfie, and Rummie were determined to pursue Saddam Hussein at any cost and they did.

Can't wait until the Bush Library festivities are over. I realize he's an ex-President and that this is a political site, so we're going to get coverage on Bush, but I'm already weary of him this week, and it's only Wednesday. It's comparable to re-living one's first marriage.

The good ol' days. I remember that Comedy Central had a hilarious show on called "That's My Bush". I loved the one where he and Laura got hooked on phone psychics. After 9/11 we weren't allowed to laugh about how dumb George W. was.

The building is haunted by all those killed on 9/11 and in his made-up war (for profit). I hope it brings him as much misery, pain and suffering as he bought to all of us due to his lies and laziness. Your day of judgment is coming George W. Bush.

Im sure George is a good man. Good husband, good father and honest in his everyday life. BUT, he was the worst Pres. In history. I dont need to rehash the past. His record speaks for itself.

For a [resident who was not elected by the voters but put in power by the right wing leaning supreme court he sure did enough damage to the country.
He should be in jail not opening a library. Has he ever read a book from cover to cover?
