(CNN) - Jack Hoffman, the 7-year-old who famously scored a touchdown during the Nebraska Cornhuskers spring game earlier this month, visited the White House Monday and had a chat with the president in the Oval Office.
Star running back Rex Burkhead befriended the young football fan and brain cancer patient last year. Burkhead helped create a play on the field in which Hoffman could run a 69-yard touchdown.
The stadium erupted in cheers and the team hoisted Hoffman on their shoulders–all seen in video that quickly went viral. Hoffman wore a miniature Burkhead uniform, with the same No. 22.
In the photo, released Modnay by the White House, Hoffman is wearing the same jersey and holds a football signed by the president.

Get a case for that football Jack. You're holding onto a piece of history that you happen to be apart of.
I'm sure there is some rightie who is screaming that boy did not earn that touchdown.
That picture says it all. I wish Mr. Rex Burkhead was in it.
Good luck, Jack Hoffman and prayers for your recovery.

In related news, the 7 year old Hoffman was courted by republicans as a possible contender for the White House in 2016. Republican leaders thought the young Hoffman certainly was as qualified as any grown up in the field and twice as intelligent.
