(CNN) – President Barack Obama will announce Wednesday he's nominating Tom Wheeler, a top fundraiser for the president's re-election campaign, to head the Federal Communications Commission, according to a White House official.
Until he's confirmed, Mignon Clyburn, a member of the commission, will serve as acting chair.

Washington (CNN) - The eternal flame dedicated to John F. Kennedy at Arlington National Cemetery has been moved to a temporary location, according to a release from the cemetery.
This is only the second time a temporary burner has been used at the gravesite. The first occurred when Kennedy was laid to rest, 49 years ago on November 25, 1963, when a temporary burner was used until 1967.

(CNN) – New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who may be eyeing a run for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, has landed a deal to chronicle a "full and frank look at his public and private life" in a book set for release next year.
The yet-untitled memoir, announced by publisher Harper Collins on Tuesday, will start with the Democrat's upbringing in Queens and detail the influence of his father Mario Cuomo, who also served as New York governor. He'll also discuss his government service as the U.S. housing secretary, and as the Empire State's attorney general and governor, according to a release.
(CNN) – Applications for health insurance coverage under President Barack Obama's sweeping healthcare law will go from 21 pages to three, according to a White House official, who said the change was part of an effort to simplify the implementation of Obamacare.
"The President wants the Administration to be as flexible and nimble as possible in implementing the ACA law," the White House official said, referring to the law's official name, the Affordable Care Act. "It is a complex undertaking, and it is particularly important to the success of the law that enrollment into the Markteplaces be as user friendly as possible."
