Obama administration e-mails raise new questions on Benghazi

Washington (CNN) - An e-mail discussion about talking points the Obama administration used to describe the deadly attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya, show the White House and State Department were more involved than they first said in the decision to remove an initial CIA assessment that a group with ties to al Qaeda was involved, according to CNN sources with knowledge of the e-mails.

The talking points have become a political flashpoint in a long-running battle between the administration and Republicans, who say that officials knew the attack last September 11 was a planned terror operation while they were telling the public it was an act of violence that grew out of a demonstration over a video produced in the United States that insulted Islam.

There are many potential scandals related to Benghazi. I want to know who denied Ambassador Stevens repeated requests for additional security. Somebody in the State Department left those poor people exposed. Its a damn shame.

    P.S.
The two former SEALS who died trying to rescue the Americans in Benghazi should be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.

"Republicans are going to try and impeach another Clinton, this time before she makes it to the White House!"

Nah, they'll go for Obama first. Inhofe (R-OK) already said that they're gong to do it. It was the plan all along. Cook it up via hearings, misinformation campaigns, conspiracy theory dissemination on sites like Red State and WND, refuse to allow some people to testify but then call others to testify who are represented by well-known celebrity partisan hack attorneys...and then abuse the majority in the House to start impeachment proceedings. They planned on it from the get-go. How do I know? Because they stated their conclusions at the very beginning before ever collecting the evidence and, despite the evidence not really supporting this massive cover up conspiracy accusation or any of the other nonsense, they've never wavered for one second in continuing to assert the conclusions they reached prior to having any evidence.

Do you really beleive Bush wasn't concerned about OBL's wearabouts?

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I know for a fact he wasn't. See below.

During a news conference at the White House on March 13, 2002: "I truly am not that concerned about him," the president said, according to the official White House transcript.

You know, in the Right-Wing echo chamber, yelling "impeachment" and "Clinton lied" or "worse than Watergate", etc. may sound really good to you guys, but face it for the vast majority of Americans, this just isn't an issue. See, we remember Embassy and Consulate attacks, and we understand why they happen. We look at maps and see 4 security guys 400 miles away are pretty much useless (as are jet fighters stationed in Italy, out of fuel range). We understand the role diplomats play in foreign countries, where we don't call the shots.
What we see in this hyper-Benghazi drivel are the desperate attempts of a post-policy party trying to score political points with the ill-informed off of the backs of brave diplomats- the people Republicans feel get in the way of their wars and don't care about in the first place (look at all the Consular positioned currently held up by the Senate GOP).

Keep it up. Every time some chickehawk like Graham, Issa, Cruz, Paul, or Guiliani utter "Benghazi" you guys lose middle-ground votes, and you look hugely un-American. Everytime one of you guys parrot Rush, or Glenn, or Bill, you just sound paranoid, and silly.

The proposed solution is US should revise its relations with GCC, Obama has to deeply think to schedule a visit to each GCC country it should start in Bahrain and ends in KSA before leaving back he should meet with all GCC leaders and see the results after wards.
It is the proper F policy.

4 spec ops guys manning post at the EMBASSY in Tripoli wanted to go to Benghazi. Ok! Then who would have been left guarding the EMBASSY in Tripoli? No one!!! If they were told to stand down, that's a legitimate enough reason why.

    Really?
ABC News is now all over this story. If ABC is on it, the other media outlets will have to follow. And when that happens, there goes Obama's and Hillary Clinton's cover. We will see in a few weeks how many Americans think this is an issue.

Please explain how a sitting President, in on planning a burglary of a physician's office to steal files and patient records to gain political information on his opponent with the Attorney General of the United States, along with several White House staffers, hiring a group of criminals to pull off said crime is in anyway similar to what you think happened in Benghazi. For that matter, I bet you can't even describe what happened in Benghazi.
