Extra IRS scrutiny on conservative applications shows 'corruption,' Palin says

(CNN) - Sarah Palin said the Internal Revenue Service's recent scrutiny of conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status is a sign of "corruption at the heart of big government" in Washington.

"So many Americans knew this was happening, but many felt defenseless and even helpless against a government that seems to roll along without accountability or sense of obligation to the people it's supposed to serve. These Americans were mocked for being concerned about this, but now we see light shining on the truth, finally," she wrote in an online posting shortly after the IRS acknowledged it made "mistakes" in handling the applications of tea party groups.

Lois Lerner, director of tax exempt organizations for the IRS, said 75 applications were singled out between 2010 and 2012 for extended review because the words "tea party" and "patriot" were included in the groups' names. Those applications were part of approximately 300 which received additional scrutiny during that time.

"Americans should remember that this same corrupt IRS will be in charge of enforcing Obamacare," she wrote. "And this same inept and corrupt government will supposedly secure our now unsecured borders in advance of immigration reform and will implement a completely ethical and non-political IPAB panel to make life and death health care decisions for you and your family. Forgive me for not trusting these big government promises any more than I trust the White House's latest Benghazi spin or the IRS' fairness."

Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, further wrote, "I'm sure President Obama is grateful for all the help the IRS gave his reelection campaign, but, still, you have to wonder how the bureaucrats who tried to pull this off can sleep at night."

She called for "accountability and a full investigation" as well as a special committee to look into the Benghazi, Libya, attack last September.

The White House probably threatened these IRS workers with termination unless they audited the conservative groups. I don't blame the workers...obama, axelrod, carney, wasserstein...all thugs!

United States, because of it's powerful media has always been portrayed to the world as a heavenly country on the planet where poverty is unknown, kids taken care like nowhere in the world, food ample enough that half the worlds population could be fed from leftovers, police almost perfect etc. The fact is so much different example-corruption is rampant, millions go hungry to bed , hundreds and thousands of kids go missing which is so unlike even in some of the poorest countries in the world, crime is worst than most countries-can go on and on. It's is a great irony how the American public is fed with such big lies every single day by media. People think!

Sarah did not write this and I have proof. These sentences are well structured and complete. The spelling is moderately well done. The sentences almost convey realistic thoughts, although they are wrong. This style of writing is far and above Sarah's intelligence level and is far too comprehensive for her to have composed. Compared to her past postings, it is impossible for her to compile such comments as these.

This woman is really sad....she is still grasping for the national spotlight that does not show her to be the ignoramus she is. She complains about the "lame stream media" as she calls it, but caters to it at every chance. Someone needs to tell this nearly 50 year old that she dresses like a hippie from the 60's. Like Ann Coulter, time is creeping up and they are not aging well. Does Palin realize HD TV shows her for what she really is? A wrinkled old hack.

Is she still alive????? Shame that she is. I must say, Grifty McQuitter still has no original ideas. Never did. She's probably worried that her closeted husband and his "Pray the Gay Away" loony organization are going to get busted. By the way, I love her new hairstyle. The Bride of Frankenstein look. How appropriate! If it's nor a hairstyle and is actually a wig, we'd all love to know what kind of animal and what portion of its anatomy it came from. Facts suggest it came from a diseased horse's derriere. How appropriate.

I really hate the Tea Party and Sarah Palin, which is why I'm so annoyed that they are right! They were totally targeted and, thanks to the IRS, finally have a leg to stand on. Killing me!

@skytag – Yep. It's the pot calling the kettle black. Everything Palin accuses the liberals of doing, she has done herself in terms of abusing her power and dividing the country. So sick and tired of her rants and really do not care what she has to say.

Palin is appalled at the profiling of anti-government groups such as the Tea Party ilk. Well now she knows what Blacks and Hispanics must feel like.
