I guess we can file the sequester in the Theory of Relativity folder. I'm glad the civilians impacted by the furloughs will continue to take home a reasonable.paycheck, it is amusing to observe the government quietly but surely revealing its priorities. Save the bombs, starve the seniors!

And still no aid for Meals on Wheels and Head Start. This Congress is so disgraceful.

When push comes to shove, each and every department in the federal government can/must find a way to compromise and stop furloughs and stoppage of programs. Obama initiated and Reid push the sequester through, in order to blame Republicans once again. Chicken are coming home too the White House and this Presidents last 4 years may just be one of a lame duck from the beginning.

Nope, they GOTP pushed for the bill. It originated in the House.

You see, the right wing's master plan was to retake control of both chambers of Congress. Getting the cuts singed into law was the goal. Once Republicans took control, the plan was to remove the Defense cuts, making up for it by cutting even deeper into discretionary spending, and of course, have a Republican POTUS sign it all into law.

Dose anybody else miss Donald Rumsfeld ?

I can't tell you if the use of force in Iraq today will last five days, five weeks or five months, but it won't last any longer than that.

If members of Congress had bothered to talk to one another and agreed to cut things together, then there would be a whole lot less in the way of this need for the sequestor. We need to make sure to cover the needy first.

Now Rudy..... Why are you attempting to talk logic to jpmichigan??? He is one of the biggest Obama haters. It's funny we're both from Michigan, but he sounds like he heralds from one of our less inclusive little towns... If you get my drift. We have many places here where people that look like myself, are not allowed. I bet he's from one of those.....
