King: Republicans dig in for long haul on Benghazi

Washington (CNN) – For all the unanswered questions about the Benghazi attack and the Obama administration crisis management in the hours and days after, this much is certain: The GOP-led investigations will carry over from spring into summer and likely beyond.

Five separate House committees are investigating facets of the attack and its aftermath, and the five chairmen compared notes on Thursday at a meeting organized by House Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

They will work through spring and summer...and beyond. The only time they are motivated to work. Maybe they can work on a jobs bill while their at it.

Wish they "dug in for long haul" regarding 9-11-2001.

    Period.

See you in 2016 when Hillary wipes the mat with these Republicans from all the youth and women votes who frankly dont care about what was reported regarding 4 deaths in a known hostile region in the middle east.

The real 'unanswered question' is who was the uber-partisan GOP that fed ABC the email LIE and the rest of MSM just irresponsibly followed.

    Shameful journalism.

Continuing to make political theater out of an attack against Americans. This is old and disgusting.

60 people were killed at consulates and embassies during Pres. Bush with no such outrage. Somehow 4 killed in Benghazi becomes partisan 'dig in for the long haul' instead bringing us together. Sad.

This pretty much says it all. I wish they would do something that actually does something for the country as a whole.
They are just working for themselves at tax payers expense!

The administration lied to the world, and they have offered NO explanation for those lies.

The people want to know what the reason for the lies WAS!

Let the 2014 and 2016 campaign begin. Congress has a 3 day work week and look at how they are spending it. Then the loons like Bachman, Paul, Gohmert all go home for a town hall or 2. They get on the stump sounding like a WWE Wrestling Superstar saying "I blocked Obama on this or that" and you tinfoils cheer like they are Hulk Hogan. Hey republicans. Did you know that one of your folks edited the released emails? That is late breaking news. "I don't want my tax dollars going to planned parenthood". How do you like how it's being spent on witch hunts to add fuel to the fire of your hatred of this president for "whatever reason"? For once how about just looking at facts instead of clinging to this foolishness?

Anything to stir the pot before the mid-terms. Where was all this indignation when the military was sent to a sovereign nation. Where men and women were dying on a daily basis, because of a lie?

This has gotten so far out of hand it is absolutely horrendous. Good money thrown after bad, lies, inuendo, opinions not based on fact, and who gets to pay for it--–thats right. You do. It becomes more clear evey day that the Republican and Tea Baggers could not govern a third grade birthday party. It would be easy to say this is all racially based on their part (and I'm sure some is) but the whole thing is entirely money and power. Want to see an example-They keep screaming that this is just like Watergate. Pure BS. This has more to do with Whitewater, then Watergate. And after spending millions investigating Bill Clinton for Whitewater what did they turn up? Nothing, Nada, Zip. There had been no wrong doing of the Clintons part. The GOTP has been singling out groups for investigation by the IRS for decades (and so have the Dems) and a clear example would be groups like the NAACP, and Greenpeace. If you want to fix it then fix it! But neither party (especially the GOTP) can claim any moral highground in anything. Government by the people, for the people, has turned into an ourtright lie that the men who founded this grand experiment came up over two centuries ago. It is all about padding their own personal pockets, and destroying this country in the process.

They are going to try to keep it in there until they make sure Hillary is not running. It is all about Hillary.

    Republicans are amazing creatures!
They were caught fabricating evidence to make the White House look guilty of changing the message on the Benghazi attack; the leak classified CIA information about the "consulate"- proving without a doubt that once again, they were simply making stuff up, and behaving treasonously. They now look like utter fools on the whole Benghazi=Watergate conspiracy nonsense.

Their solution? "Dig in for the long haul"!. Well, keep digging boys. You'll need to dig a pit big enough to bury an elephant. It is your party's suicide, and grave.

Republicans just kept flogging that dead horse (Benghazi) hoping to make a controversy out of it. Too bad they became that controversy with their intelligence leaks, falsified data and their usual lies.

    What fools!

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Right on Marty! When are the dems going to demand an investigation into some yet-unnamed right wing member of congress fabricating emails in order to make them fit their own narrative? Additionally, why is nobody demanding an investigation into who (my money's on michelle bachman) leaked classified information to the AP, prompting the Justice Department to use Patriot Act powers to investigate AP journalists? Both of those crimes are treasonous acts and both deserve an in-depth probe of every republican in the house and senate, and when the perpetrators are found they need to be dealt with to the maximum extent of the law.
