Obama to Oklahoma: 'We've got your back'

(CNN) - Oklahomans have the nation behind them as they struggle to bounce back from tornadoes that tore through the state last week, President Barack Obama said Sunday in the devastated city of Moore.

"As fellow Americans, we're going to be there as shelter from the storm for the people of Moore who have been impacted," he said, "and when we say that we've got your back, I promise you that we keep our word."

As I clicked my remote pass these Okies, I couldn't help but notice how fast these haters of ALL THINGS Obama, couldn't wait to get in front of a microphone and tell their stories to the "libral" media (you know the onese out to take something away from them). If nothing else, I hope some of them have a new found respect for the govmint and this president ,who is working and trying hard to help them. Who knows, maybe something good can come out of this. One can only hope.

  3. Blinded by the republican lie

Now watch the gotp's complain about Gov. Fallin palling around with the Pres. She will be attacked for being seen in the same picture that these extremists are always howling about...Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't help these Govs that need help...Why can't people be neutral when it comes to things in which it helps the citizens in this country.

This president does have Americas back more than I can say about republicans in their stances about budget cuts equaling emergency aid. That's a bunch of BS you republicans will take to your political graves at midterms and don't say we didn't warn yah because we sure as heck have!

Obama keeping his word? Not likely. The ruin from Sandy still hasn't been fixed yet. Never mind the shovel ready jobs fixing infrastructure Obama didn't do when promised and spending billions for "stimulus." He should stay away from claims of integrity – he has none.

Heard one republican say that the aid to the victims of this tragedy, should be contingent on budget cuts. Do any republican office holders think, before speaking? In the future, all cuts need to be directed toward politician(s), and specifically to politicians with little or no empathy for their fellow man. Haven't heard of one big shot taking so much as a dime less in pay or benefits. It'd be refreshing for this to start happening, and less being cut from the underlings.

He really needs to come up with another line. These canned phrases are getting old at this point. One thing is for certain, he sure didn't have the backs of the Americans he and Hillary Clinton left unprotected over in Benghazi, nor does he have the back of the press as long as Eric Holder is the AG, and conservatives now know they need to WATCH their backs with Obama's IRS targeting them for the Obama treatment.

Sandy, like all major national disasters, will take years to "fix". This one, too. Your point?

And back up your claim that the stimulus didn't create jobs, "shovel-ready" or otherwise, with data and statistics. I can tell you this - just less than half of the stimulus went to more totally unnecessary tax cuts. So yeah, not enough jobs were created. Thanks to Republicans, who demanded that the tax cuts be in the stimulus package.

@comen,and what integrity does your republicans have fighting like cats and dogs over aid to Sandys victims and cutting their aid to bits for equal budget cuts, you tell me smart one if you are!!Cantor refusing aid for his state of Virginia with the same BS in budget cuts for aid after the floods and you voted for these bums and you claim integrity, look it up in the dictionary because your ruthless republicans actions toward helping their states constituents with emergency aid have none,no ethics or morals, just greed!!!And remember it was Bush that took over a week to do a fly over in Louisiana after Katrina, remember that pal!!And look how long it took for Army Corp of Engineers to get the flood walls erected ,almost a year, nice job republicans and show yourselves to the door ,you're fired!!

Oh shut up..."truth hurts..." You all are just jealous & MAD that our president is better than the previous ones!! He has done good on all that he has promised these victims! ~I don't hear Joplin or Sandy survivors complaining, only you hateful people that are snuggled safely somewhere! ...So, be quiet!!

Mr. President, Thank you for your love, compassion and faith in GOD that allows you to love the people of The United States of America and your petty enemies! ~We LOVE you back, sir! :)

@john, open up your mind just a tiny little crack. This is NOT a photo opportunity. This is OUR twice duly elected President doing HIS job. If he was on the golf course then you and the haters would complain that he didn't visit OK.
@truth hurts – enough with the Benghazi story. The car thief/illegal gun owner had to back down because there is nothing there. If anyone should be in jail it for being a criminal it's him and let's not forget his brother. His story sounds very much like the Boston bombers minus the explosives. Older brother/younger brother bs.
And @john, your shrub #43 was the one who took a ride on Air Force One and couldn't get his shiny shoes dirty in the mud in New Orleans after Katrina.

The "haters" seem to crawl out of the woodwork like roaches. I wonder how long we can keep a government together when hate media and the fearful right-wing are against everything and everybody. Everything is a conspiracy or scandel. Every decision made by the other Party is wrong. Republicans remain the Party of No.

The President did his part. Look to your Tea Baggers in the Congress who blocked disbursementfor disasters. They also blocked release of funds for infrastructure. LOOK IT UP! DON'T BELIEVE ME OR FOX NEWS! You need to do your homework and discover how these things work. Money comes from Congress! They're blocking it.
