make sure whatever gets passed doesn't let the democrats ignore the laws that don't favor their party. if any of the law is not enforced and followed through on, then none of it happens. do not let the democrats con and lie to the american people again.

Now, bill actually does contain stuff to secure the border. Stuff written by Rubio himself, I am told. But now the bill is out of committee and the Republicans want to renege on this bill, on which Rubio is supposed to have played such a major role. All of that posturing is to be expected. However, what is unexpected is Rubio joining up with the choir that's against the bill.

McConnell filibusters his own bill. Rubio predicts he will vote against his own bill. You can't make this stuff up.

I'm skeptical if the Senate could even get a yes vote to proceed with the debate. Too many republican Cowards.

they are saying that 40% of the illegals here now are the result of the people overstaying their visas. this will be a problem they need to fix no matter what. it is a problem that can and should be passed seperately. so do the democrats support the round up and deportation of all visa violators after new laws are passed? or are they going to give us the same old story about there being too many of them to deport?

Nah... I don't think so. This is a good debate to have. The left is going to have to cleearly define what they're willing to do to secure the border. The right is going to have to clearly define what they're willing to do with the 12 million already here. There's going to be black eyes for everyone.

Why don't they take some of those tracking skills they have (phone, credit cards, internet) and put it towards the illegal immigration issue? Too much common sense there? Yeah.

Local laws also don't help much with the illegal alien problem. Where I live, Town of Huntington NY, the Town Board passed a law in the 1980s that permitted accessory apartments to be buit inside or attached to single family homes. That resulted in an explosion of illegal apartments and absentee landlordism that brought cheap multi unit apartments in buildings that look like single family homes from the outside and the resulting cheap rents attracted illegal aliens from all over, such that a huge day laborer population now squats on the streets all over Huntington Station NY. And I'm sorry for not being PC about this...but most of these people are clearly illegals overstaying their Visas or having been smuggled here. They are a huge nuisance and an example of urban blight. Oh and they brought with them the gangs MS 13, the Bloods, Crips, etc.

I don't think that comes out as "even-steven" as you apparently would like to believe. Obama has more troops and tech on the border than at any time in our history, has set records every year for number of deportations and reduced net illegal immigration to zero. The only ones still screaming that he's not enforcing the laws are the bigots pre-disposed to automatically believe that a black dude wants to open the borders to all his brown cousins. Building a coast-to-coast electric fence and manning it with crack-shot snipers is nonsense talk too. Top it all off with the GOPers/Teatrolls ranting about "get to the back of the line" and "send them all home" and "no pathway to citizenship...EVER" and maybe a light sprinkling of "only if they learn English firs and it is made our national language" and this starts to look like a very dangerous debate for the GOP/Teatrolls to have, but it's a step in the right direction that many of them recognize it as time to bite the bullet.

Aren't conservatives against creating the database, much less using one?

The cowards putting illegals ahead of American citizens are our politicians who are more concerned with self and party than those they serve. Too many citizens out of work, on fed and state assistance, veterans waiting for aid, etc – so who is going to pay and bear the burden of shamnesty 2.0? You guessed it, the working American taxpayer!

"why dont the immigrants and minorities vote gop,"
    ---
Because the democrats give them all the free stuff and don't enforce our countries laws. And don't keep repeating the lie that the current administration has deported more than any other president. A proven lie.

Because when they are made "legal" and given all the free stuff and added to the foodstamp roles, they will vote democrat.

Most boots on the ground on the border-EVER.
    Most deportations- EVER.

So, what law isn't being enforced? Except perhaps those that the GOP/TP terrorists refuse to fund, everything around the border seems to be the most secure-EVER.
