First on CNN: Stop Hillary effort launches

Washington (CNN) – Just as support starts piling up for a second Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, the opposition forces are marshaling their resources to keep up.

Pro-Republican Super PAC America Rising is launching a fundraising effort today as their answer to the growing tide of support for Clinton. The PAC has a brand new site, StopHillary2016.org, a one-stop shop for Clinton haters.

And they're blasting a series of e-mails to randomized groups of donors to solicit money for the cause.

One draws on the lessons learned by Mitt Romney's failed presidential campaign. The PAC's chairman, Matt Rhoades, had managed the Romney campaign in 2012. He writes in the new fundraising note, "President Obama started his reelection campaign on his first day in office. I saw firsthand how big of an advantage that four year head start gave him in 2012."

He goes on, "We can't allow that competitive advantage [to] occur again."

The second begins by saying it's no secret Clinton is preparing another bid and explains the organization "was formed to prevent Americans from ever having to see another Clinton in the White House or suffer through 12 years of Democrat rule."

It continues, "Whether it's Hillary, Joe Biden, or liberal up-and-comers like Elizabeth Warren, we need to stop these Democrats in their tracks now." And it reminds that the "Clinton Machine" is so powerful, Republicans need to start collecting research on the former secretary of state to "define the real Hillary before another Clinton Administration damages our country."

A third e-mail stokes fears of another Clinton in the White House by ticking through a series of Clinton scandals, including her leadership of the State Department during the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

In addition to bringing in funds to do research and finance TV ads when the campaign gets closer, part of the exercise is designed to determine which of these messages sticks best by seeing which e-mail solicitation brings in the most money, according to the PAC.

How about no more of the same of either dems or reps. Give us someone who has a proven trustworthy record. Oh wait, there isn't any!

From her dismal health care intuitive to Sec of State Hillary has failed in every leadership role. She has no real accomplishments to point at and knows nothing about the economy...all of which makes her a perfect democratic candidate.

Obama has been digging a hole for the US and if hillary becomes President, she will finish the job by burying our country.

I'm actually not worried at all...all that has to be mentioned is VINCE FOSTER and BENGHAZI!

Hopefully the GOP keeping giving until it hurts to these PAC's that have absolutely no effect. I love when the GOP wastes money on a bunch of nonsense. Looks like nothing was learned from the last election but that is not surprising.

Once again the Republicans think it's messaging. It's not. It's your policies. McCain lost because he insisted the "fundamentals of the economy are sound." Then the stock market tanked. Romney lost because he wasn't running to govern the "47%", just the "corporations are people too, my friend" constituents.

The Clinton's are models of the American dream. Good luck trying to hold her off if she wants to run. The Clinton's became one of the 5 wealthiest first families in our nations history. No one cares that they attained all that wealth after Bill's presidency from foreign sources like Saudi Arabia and from industries that he made sweethart deals for while he was President. The more corrupt a politician is, the better chance they have of getting elected. There has probably never been more corrupt politicians than Bill and Hillary, so I'd say her chances of winning are very good.

Rhoades ,Romneys exvampaign manager knows first hand how Pres.Obama,Bill Clinton can raise money, lots of it!!They turned to that republican created Citizens United and used it against their creators and used it well...Now Rhoades has to go dirty just like he did against Pres.Obama and even after that it obviously back fired showing republicans how much he and Romney were as fools using blantant lies that they knew would come back later to haunt them later like the Chryslers Jeep corporation heading to China when everyone knew but them it was staying stateside and kept that lie going even after being warned with lawsuits by Chrysler execs telling them to take the lies down...This just makes democrates want to contribute more to democratic campaigns to keep these hateful, bigotted extremist out of Washington right...When will republicans learn that if you keep telling lies about democrates we'll keep telling hurtful truths about you republicans and truth hurts republicans doesn't it!!!

  12. We Love Hillary

You just have to know that when scared groups like these start forming it is only because Hillary Clinton is a most formidable candidate for President and she is literally scaring the you-know-what out of them because they know if she becomes the nominee she will be the hardest of both parties to beat! Congratulations in advance to President Hillary Clinton! You did an excellent job as First Lady. You did a wonderful job as U.S. Senator.. You did a tremendous job as Secretary of State and you will undoubtedly do a Fantastic job as the first woman U.S. President, something whose time has not only come but is Long Overdue in America! Not yet close to 2016, the GOB are panicking!!! The Clinton machine is powerful, more powerful than any weapon they have or think they have. Republicans will have to fight a lot harder than they did prior to November 2012.

First I will say that the candidates that would make great POUS are not stupid enough to run – why would they want to be dragged through all the muck of politics ? I am a Repub (but a moderate one) and its kind of funny seeing/hearing the far right try and try again to slam Hillary, it shows me that they are afraid of her.
I will also say that if the republicans put some right wing or tea bagger on the ballot, I will vote democrat – I am more afraid of those lunatics than the dems !

"Just as support starts piling up for a second Hillary Clinton presidential campaign,"...lol. Is CNN serious? And when and where has this happened? There has been no effort to make her the Dem in waiting since the Bengazi hearings and for good reason...she can't win after that.

It is hilarious to see how the Repubtards are trying to tie Benghazi stuff to Hillary that won't hold water. There is nothing there for her to fear, absolutely nothing, but oh, how they try because it is not only their mouth that has developed diarrhea but one can also strongly smell it now from another place as they learn of her soon-to-be announcement for president! Hillary 2016!!!

  20. oh please

Again, another PAC wasting money, saying "no no no", being obstructionist.....yet...what positive thing do they offer? Do they give an alternative candidate? A discussion to find middle ground? Typical republican...no solutions, no compromise...either return us to the 50's (1850's) or nothing for them. Tea party just ate Rubio this week...who is left now?

Time for a complete change – out liberal democrats and way too the right republicans. Neither are trustworthy and neither actually have the courage to do the right things and that is to actually serve the people. Hillary, it does matter.

Republicans harping on Hillary being responsible for the death of 4 Americans. Did the Republicans forget that we went to war while George Bush was in office on false information about weapons of mass destruction. How many American lives were lost over the past 10 years? Hillary 2016!!!!

How about the GOP runs a candidate who is actually for civil rights and reduced government? The GOP is going to keep losing as long they keep campaigning on the 'we're not quite as bad as the other guy' platform. The statists will just vote Democrat because that's where the national socialism is, and the people people who want individual freedom and small government will be disgusted and split their votes all over the place.
