Rand Paul's Republican balancing act

(CNN) - Rand Paul arrives in South Carolina on Friday for a handful of fundraisers and closed-door meetings with local Republicans, the latest in a series of expeditions to key primary states as he mulls a presidential bid in 2016.

If the Kentucky senator decides to embark on a White House run, a likely prospect according to those around him, his South Carolina foray crystallizes what could be a central challenge as a Republican candidate: assuaging skeptical donors in the party's establishment without rankling the grass-roots activists who helped lift him to national prominence.

Rand Paul is some weak tea... Good people of Kentucky, please remove this lunatic from office at your next possible convenience.

The problem with Rand Paul (and his father) is that they don't see the reality beyond their ideology. There are the people they believe in the people who will act ethically, rationally and without prejudice all the time. I assume that they and other know that doesn't happen here or anywhere else.

Ok. Lets go to war for 10 years-many loss lives-unbelievable costs have incurred. The Pauls encourage you to read the constitution and have some understanding of it, most people don't have a clue and don't have any idea how badly Obama is reaching outside of its boundary. People are fighting for our rights and here in the US we are letting this president lead us to socialism? We are broke and Obama spends up to 100 mill for vacation time? Obama got in on the second term from those who want free stuff.

    You clearly have no clue.
    1. Who started the two wars (the ones with no exit plans)?
    2. Who gave the rich tax breaks at the same time?
    3. Who was President when the economy tanked?
    4. Who passed the USA PATRIOT Act?
    5. Name ONE socialistic program put pin place under tis President? (trick question- the ACA puts in place the power of Capitalism to keep down medical insurance costs).
6.Define "vacation" (and realize Bush spent 3.6 years on them), and Define the G8 Meeting.

Anyone who knows anything about the Kochs know they are pushing legeslation that benefits THEM. Their puppet ALEC even writes the proposed laws to be given (with a check) to Republicans in the House, and in legislatures all across America.

This guy is actually very little like his father. He's a charlatain that is capitalizing on Ron Paul's name recognition, but their ideas differ substantially. Rand has a libertarian bent, but is much more in favor of government intrusion into people's lives. See his stance on abortion for an example, there are many others as well. In short, Rand Paul sucks.
