Romney contributes to Ryan campaign

(CNN) - Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney donated $5,200 to his former running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan, on June 3, helping to bring Ryan’s second quarter haul to a total of $1.1 million.

Even before he was on the ballot to be vice president, Ryan has always been a top fundraiser in Congress. However, he became a household name thanks to Romney, who featured him heavily in events throughout the 2012 presidential campaign season.

The House Budget Committee chairman now has $2.2 million on hand, according to his campaign filings with the Federal Election Commission.

While the Romney-Ryan ticket may not have won the national election, Ryan won re-election to his U.S. congressional seat in Wisconsin last year by 55% to 43%. If his fundraising numbers hold steady, Ryan should have a considerable advantage in future races.

Bloomberg News first reported the contribution.

  3. Name jk. Sfl. GOP conservatives, the garbage of America.

This clown has no chance in any national elections and needs to get a real job such as a hot dog car driver. And I wonder if he ever cleared up the bribery issue for the liquor licenses in his home district with a 60,000 campaign donation was involved which had to be returned, not a very good issue for a person running for national office??????

Ryan won the state of WI in 2012? I am sure President Obama won WI. Ryan may have won his gerrymandered district, but he lost his home town.

No kidding. Romney offered up $10K on a wager during one of the Republican primary debates.

oh hell mr heckle and jeckle are back at it again. Ryan with his passionate ideology of giving everything in America to big companies so they can take it to china and leave this country to starve, and Mr mumbling bumbling rick perry imitator, are lining up again. i wonder if the result will be different this time. and no, its not how much money you can spend to allow the american people to give up their best interest to china Mr Ryan, because people are now seeing your agenda and they are looking for self preservation instead. if you can show that greed in big companies will allow them to keep their jobs in America and not take it to china, your passionate renditions of killing government might be given a second look.

A small donation to a small person from an even smaller person. Paul Ryan is a sick dangerous man who wants to protect the super +++++++++++ wealthy. Very difficult to be a normal Republican today.
