Bachmann wants to 'spank' Obama

(CNN) – She tried to run against President Barack Obama as last year's GOP nominee.

But with that dream dashed, Rep. Michele Bachmann has another idea.

"He has a perpetual magic wand, and nobody's given him a spanking yet and taken it out of his hand," the Minnesota Republican told WorldNetDaily. "That's what Congress needs to do. The way we spank the president is we do it through the checkbook."

She was speaking to the conservative website about the ongoing battle over comprehensive immigration reform. The "magic wand" she refers to is the power to implement executive actions, like the one taken by Obama last year to defer deportations of young undocumented immigrants who were brought here by their parents.

A bipartisan immigration reform bill passed the Senate last month that included a pathway to citizenship, which many Republicans, including Bachmann, regard as "amnesty."

As the push for immigration reform slows in the House, Bachmann warned fellow opponents of a pathway to citizenship that resistance in the lower chamber may not hold up under pressure from GOP leaders who she said were sold on an "amnesty bill."

"The only game in town is legalization, for President Obama and for Senate Democrats. They want that legalization status," Bachmann, who will not run for re-election in 2014, said.

She suggested using Congress' ability to allocate funds to reject Obama's priorities, including the Affordable Care Act.

"We have the power of the purse," she said. "The most powerful body in Washington D.C. is the House of Representatives, which I'm honored to be a part. We're the ones that say, 'No, you can't have the money.' What's wrong with us? What is wrong with us that we would give the president ten cents to fund Obamacare?"

I have yet to hear of the Bachmann Affordable Healthcare Bill, or the Bachmann Immigration Reform. She has complained about these two issues since 2009, but has expressed no tangible solution.

How typical for a republican to be condescending like nobody knows what is good for people except them. "Mommy" Bachman makes me want to vomit!

Why doesn't she start by defunding congress. They have become the poster child of government waste.

Michele is very unlucky that the AMA has identified obesity as a disease, and not stupidity.

She will have to pay for her own stupendectomy.

The GOP already made her quit. She looks more and more loony the more she flaps her gums. When is she going to shut the hell up?

Who cares what she thinks? How is this news? Hasn't it already been established that she is a loose cannon nut job who much like palin talks out of her rear and can barely form a complete sentence without lying or stretching the truth or spewing out some kind of intolerance and hate? Is there nothing more important in the world to report on? Were there no innocent children killed in any war torn countries today to do a news story on? No arrests for simple marijuana possession to report? No reports of police brutality or anything like that? Come on CNN. This is not news. Stop giving these nut jobs a voice.

Bachmann asks "what's wrong with us?". Well, Ms. Bachmann, what's wrong is that we have a stupid electorate that votes people like you into an office that is well above your intelligence level. You do both women and republicans an injustice.

Republicans had no problem when their presidents use executive priviledge. And the two Bushes and Reagan used it considerably more frequently than Obame.

WoW !! well, that's why people like her needs to go the way side – because as long as people like her & rush & Hannity & coulter is in the news media, the republicans don't have a chance – Don't get me wrong – there is some pretty decent conservatives out there – but the lunatics like Palin & etc – gives them all a bad name. too bad.

If you want to see the personification of what is so drastically wrong with America; if you want to see what ails our country in a nutshell; if you want to get a single picture of the nutcases that imperil this nation; then let's just say "Michelle Bachmann" and leave it at that.
