IRS interviews show no political bias, Democrats say

Washington (CNN) – In the latest salvo of a pitched political battle over Internal Revenue Service targeting, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee said Tuesday that interviews with 15 tax agency employees found no evidence of bias or White House manipulation alleged by Republicans.

"Despite an extremely aggressive investigation involving thousands of documents and more than a dozen interviews of IRS employees, the overwhelming evidence before the committee reveals no political motivation or White House involvement in this process," said the memo made public by Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland, the panel's ranking Democrat.

Just more red herring, from the party that talks smaller government, but when elected takes every issue to extreme. Their propensity for drama is only exceeded by their knee jerk reaction to every aspect of life. GO AWAY.

"No political bias" Rep, Issa has known this for months now. But, he's stuck his neck out so far that he can't pull it back. His only means to save face is push further through innuendo and false accusations. Basically, Issa has been asking the White House to prove a negative, to prove that they were not involved.

The initial investigation was tasked with one thing. Check for unusual treatment of right wing groups. The investigation turned up both, but only reported on right wing groups because that was the scope of its' mandate. Issa ran with it.

A Democrat didn't say it, the people that Issa grilled said it. Heck, the whole thing originated with someone who is a registered conservative. As far as independent investigation goes, how do you plan to pay for it? They've already conducted one, the IG's report. And now Issa is conducting his own independent [of the facts] investigation.

You have to admire these so-called fiscal "conservatives", they have their sheep convinced they are the do-gooders while they waste $millions on useless, trumped up investigations. These are not "conservatives", they are people who could hold a job anywhere else.

Well, when Issa retires he can always write fantasy novels: God knows he's had enough practice creating fictional worlds at taxpayer's expense.

Yeah, I have to tip my hat to them. They are masters at looking like they are getting a lot of work done, when in fact they aren't getting much of anything done. The House has conducted several IRS investigations all at once. For what? They are as phoney as they come. These "small government" conservatives are always trying enact big government policies.

so let's list all of the progressive groups that were asked for their list of donors and all of the progressive groups that were delayed through the two election cycles and still haven't been approved. there are none. let's see all the extra questions the progressive groups had to answer. there were none. this is nothin gbut the usual democrat/leftist smoke and mirror show to try and bury this scandal. drag lois lerner back in there and get her testimony. she is stonewalling to protect people at the top.

    --------------------
There are plenty of them. In fact, there are more progressive groups that were not approved than conservative. The difference is that progressives took in stride and didn't see it as any sort of big government conspiracy. They didn't get together and say to themselves, "You, too!" Probably because they do not collaborate to the extent that right wing groups seem to do.

Even if they did, they still wouldn't overreact the way the right wing groups have. I consider the noise they make as distraction from their obvious guilt of being political parties. I have no doubt that "How To" memos were circulated around telling "patriots" how to form their own tax-exempt political groups.

There are so many mind readers, clairvoyants in the ranks to the GOP/Tea Tard clownery. They can somehow determine sight unseen the IRS is a totally corrupt agency because there is an African American president. If corruption is not proven let's make it up...welcome to the unretrieved thinking of GOP fantasy land
