Tweet of the Day: Romney has another grandbaby

(CNN) - While the world's eye was on the royal baby Monday, plenty of other children came into the world, including Mitt Romney's latest grandchild–also a boy. "#22," he notes in his tweet.

In a nod to Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, Romney said his family is also "royally blessed."

The new Romney baby belongs to Romney's son, Josh, and his wife Jen. In February, Craig Romney and his wife, Mary, had twins.

Romney has five sons.

I'm glad the romney's are expanding their family. I'm also glad they are part of the 1% club. Wouldn't want those babies to starve, be subjected to substandard education, or have to actually work in the real world.

So much for the theory that white people don't reproduce much anymore.

It's sad how small people are in this country when they hate others for being financially successful. It's entirely possible for anyone in this country with a work ethic to earn enough for a place to live and enough food to feed their family. So what if some people get a few extra perks because of hard work or good luck?

Does anyone know what reality that this person is actually talking about? Is it Universe 6 or 42? It sure isn't Universe "this one". Does the right wing even realize how arrogantly offensive they sound when they make such blanket remarks that stereotype half the population as losers?

Have they forgotten that millions of people lost their jobs and homes simply because they worked hard and believed in the right wing's economic policies? We suffered an economic disaster of such gigantic proportions that the effects have become permanent, and the right blames these permanent scars that it left on the economy on the next guy.

" They love America and the American dream which is slowly being destroyed each day" by vulture capitalists like the Romneys. How many people whose jobs went overseas because of Bain are smiling at this new-hatched vulture? It will be grown enough to attack in twenty-one years.

Sorry buddy but it is not Bain driving these companies to outsourceing, it is the policy of our government that punishes companies and individuals for being sucessful!!!!! I work for a large corporation and have seen 10 times the outsourcing since Obama past all these worthless regulations that puts undue burden on the companies. It has not help consumers in the least and in fact raise the cost of credit many times (per CFPB study done earlier this year)!!! Don't get me wrong, some regulation is needed but BO has gone way to far!

It is so nice that Mitt has such a large family that he can take on vacation with him to the Cayman Islands where he visits all of the money he hides from taxes.

"Well if their families led a good clean life and worked hard and saved then they just might." And if Grandpa had owned a Detroit auto factory in the 60s. 'Live right, work hard, and wait for Grandma to die' is NOT the American Dream.

"Did you know that another name for "trickle down economis" is "boom and bust economics"? Why would they name it that?"

Because a recession every decade or so teaches the serfs to be happy with the little they have and to be "thankful that they're even employed, because you never know when it all could come crashing down around you." This is how the middle-class has been taught to accept their average wages staying stagnant for 40+ years, failing to keep up with inflation and becoming the equivalent of subsistence wages...just enough to service your debt products so the investors in those debt products (i.e., your employers, who are trying to recoup your salaries this way) can make their money, but no more....all while the salaries and compensation packages for CEOs and other executive positions increased hundredfold in comparison to middle-class salaries.

How do you make break a good man and make him happy with almost nothing? Reduce him to nothing a few times first. It's a feature of their economic ideology, not a bug.

Good grief! 22 grandchildren? Have they all gone mad? Yea, we need tons of more children for the planet to support and to deal with the pollution they generate. This is disgusting and irresponsible.

This should be considered nothing less than a blessed event. If people can do nothing other than groan about how bad they have it, they've missed the point. Move on and take your hate elsewhere.

I love it when everybody tends to blame the economy on Obama. Hate to inform you of some FACTS, outsourcing has been a policy since Clinton signed the NAFTA agreement and somewhat before then, but not as large as it is. No one has anything against the rich, but working hard and succeeding went by the wayside as did the economic theory of supply and demand. Why are we subsidizing oil companies that are making money hand over fist? Will gas disappear if prices were lower, I doubt it. The rich have tax loopholes, which they refuse to give up and now breaking the backs of the middle class workers and those who have several part time jobs at low wages. The right needs to wake up to a little reality and stop blaming the poor and middle class or Obama for all the economic woes this country is in.

A crappy phone job wouldn't even pay your rent nowadays, much less an annual tuition that amounts to buying a new luxury car every year.

I find it hilarious that you still, to this day, think eminent domain litigation is in Land Court in MA, despite me telling you repeatedly that the Superior Court has exclusive jurisdiction. BTW, I'm not bitter, I'm outraged. Learn the difference.

" it is not Bain driving these companies to outsourceing, it is the policy of our government" Dream on. Bain Capital buys failing businesses and kills them for profit. This was Mitt's business model for the USA: sell off parts of it to overseas buyers. Sorry, there's no government policy to drive people out of business, that's just what they tell you to keep your vote. "Don't get me wrong, some regulation is needed but BO has gone way to far!" Where were you during the Cheney Adminstration, when the president stayed drunk in Texas and the VP led us into two wars? Cheering? We overspent and the money's gone, and that's what's hurting the economy.

Every time Romney appears in the news, the sad little people who are jealous of his success and wealth come out to complain about it. Guess what: Jack Lew (Treasury Secretary) and Barack Obama have money in the Caymans – so do many other people, republican, Democrat and Independent. So what? Why do you attack Romney for being wealthy and for having accountants who follow the laws and testify that Romney paid everything legally owned. If you were wealthy, you'd do the same and many people would like to be in Romney's position. How many of you buy Powerball tickets? And if you won, were you going to give it all to charity? Or hire some good accountants?
