(CNN) - Anthony Weiner, the embattled New York City mayoral candidate who admitted this week to sending raunchy chats to a young woman last summer, estimated Thursday he had online relationships with three different women after his 2011 resignation from Congress.
But speaking at a news conference, the Democrat said he couldn't say for sure how many more women might come forward.
"There are a few. I don't have a specific number for you," Weiner said. "There are people I've had exchanges with that are completely appropriate, and that there are no pictures or illicit texts or anything. Now if those people want to say they don't like the exchanges we had either, I don't know where to put them."

Weiner stepped down from his House seat in 2011 after admitting to sending lewd photos and messages to multiple women online. He pointed out Thursday that when he left the House of Representatives, he admitted to exchanging messages with six women.
He then provided a rough total of how many women he's engaged with sexually online.
"It's not dozens and dozens," he said. "It's six to ten, I suppose, but I can't tell you absolutely what people are going to consider inappropriate or not."

Pressed to provide a guess as to how many of those relationships occurred after his resignation, Weiner said, "I don't believe I had any more than three."
Weiner has resisted calls from his rivals to withdraw from the race for New York City mayor, saying the decision of whether he's trustworthy enough for the job should be up to voters.

Why Anthony Weiner's problem is ours, too
It makes one wonder what he thought would happen long term. I mean, once that stuff is out there, it's bound to come back and haunt you at some point. Did he just think it would disappear? That no one would talk? Or that he was above having to use any form of reasoning? That we are not held accountable for our actions? A three year old realizes that there are consequences to what we do. But not someone who was in the House? An individual running for mayor?
Even he thinks the only good-looking thing about him is his down there, that's why he's sharing the pictures to the world. A litte perv in the making.
His wife is even more pathetic than he is. She must have empty peanut shells for brains. This is Murica, honey...grab your AR47 and stand your ground!
this man definitely has a problem, and he thinks he did nothing wrong, and could win the election. if he does win, what are people thinking
Cannot believe this man expects people will elect him to any office? We don't need perverts in office. We have enough crooks there already!
His name is Weiner... isn't that punishment enough?
He sexted three women. Reminds me of when a cop asks how many drinks you've had. Everybody say it with me..."Just two, officer."
He wants to be mayor, but can't tell the difference between what people would consider appropriate and inappropriate exchanges between two people? Stop being an evasive creep and just tell people the truth.
Ew. Enough said!
This is very sad. It's bad enough that Mr. Wiener is a liar, but that he continues the behavior that got him in trouble in the first place is indicative of a serious problem, a compulsion he cannot/will not control.
Wow. Really? Time for counseling, not running NY. I guess we'll get to see what really happens to the marriage after Weiner is so trashed that he can never make a political comeback. I feel sorry for the whole family, so we'll see what happens. PS: news just came in that Weiner was trashed in the most recent polling. Looks like he's done – so he might as well go get that counseling he so desperately needs.
Please God, please allow this to continue. Pure entertainment
I used to like this guy but he's an embarassment and clearly a raving narcissist if he still thinks after this incredibly poor judgment that he's a viable candidate for public office.
He should have stayed away from the public
Wow, just wow.
What is wrong with these politicians! They act like they are monarchs and part of ruling class above the values and laws of the public. This is a horrible problem in this country right now. People like Weiner, Spitzer and Bloomberb who is trying to change term limit laws right now so he and his cronies can stay in power. The American people need to stand up and get rid of these scum bags who view government service as an entitlement and career to line their own pockets. We need to have campaign fiance and election reform, term limits and strict controls on politicians. It's absurd that they can just vote themselves raises and change laws to benefits themselves. We need to get regular common people back in charge of this country.
He had his second chance, third chance.....
He does not possess common sense or deserve to be in public office.
"Weiner has resisted calls from his rivals to withdraw from the race for New York City mayor, saying the decision of whether he's trustworthy enough for the job should be up to voters."
Weiner seems to be traveling a very conflicted and quite troublesome road not based in anything that could even be remotely considered reality driven.
The morality aside, wouldn't he be a risk to a position of public trust. With the unknown depth of this behavior he would appear to have compromised himself and enabled a vulnerability for blackmail and extortion.
I hope New Yorkers reconsider and elect him... It would be a hoot! A mixture of comedy and reality show, for all the country (especially the state of NY) to see!
Get this guy out of the news, he is painful to look at, so ugly and creepy looking. Of course ugly looking people like him have to go the extent he has to go to get some on the side. He's a disgusting looking disease, get him out of the news.
"It's six to ten, I suppose, but I can't tell you absolutely what people are going to consider inappropriate or not."
ummm....i'm thinking it doesn't really matter which girls or how many consider it inappropriate. i pretty sure your wife thinks any online chatting with other woman that is not business related is inappropriate. course, she like so many other wives share the blame by standing by them.
His wife needs to move out and move on...........Weiner is one sick puppy! His name even fits him!
It isn't even that the conversations were inappropriate that is the problem, it's that if this guy is willing to hurt his wife, someone he supposedly loves, that badly, how can we have any faith he will look out for people he has never met.
omg what a shame
