Obama to head out on bus tour

Edgartown, Massachusetts (CNN) – President Barack Obama will dust off his presidential bus and head to New York and Pennsylvania for a two day tour next week, the White House announced on Monday.

Obama, currently vacationing on Martha's Vineyard, will use the trip to "discuss another cornerstone of his vision for a better bargain for the middle class," a White House official said, without specifying any details of the president's speeches.

Since the beginning of August, Obama has used day trips to discuss jobs and the economy – launched in Illinois, the new initiative has also brought the president to Missouri, Florida, Tennessee and Arizona.

He's laid out plans for a new "grand bargain" on jobs, as well as a new push to bolster the nation's housing market.

CNN's Lesa Jansen and Dan Lothian contributed to this report.

And just when you thought Obama couldn't possibly waste more of our tax dollars on vacation.... Bottomline is this guy is a celebrity junkie. If he doesn't stand in front of an adoring crowd of leftist koolaide drinkers at least once every two days, I think he would die.

Donna- what is it with you guys and this sick, sick obsession with the President and vacations? You can't seem to be able to differenciate between state travel, conferences, meetings and vacations. On a comparison basis, Mr. Obama has among the lowest number of vacation days, while Mr. Bush (YOUR last Presiden)t had the most (3.5 years out of 8), nevermind your party's Congressional members have been do-nothings since 2008.
If this is your assessment of politics and the President- you guys simply have no clue of real-live events.

" income levels continue to drop because of a non-existent recovery (blacks are esepcially hit) and now even obama's supporters, the labor unions, say obamacare is going to destroy the middle class. meanwhile prices climb on food and fuel."

Again, did you block all of his policies or did he just do whatever he wanted because all of your Teatroll congresscritters have failed miserably? As for unions, that's a lie. A very few of them had very specific bones to pick with the ACA and the reason they were complaining is because they wanted to get a double-dip and special treatment that they're not getting....so their complaints are actually evidence against your claims that he gave them special treatment. Stop lying. Your gross gloss-over of everything by just using the most barebones and superficial of facts is intentionally misleading.

Rafael Cruz's diatribes/disparages on Obama reminds me of the biblical Pharisees attacks against Jesus for healing the sick & other miracles. How on earth can a 'Pastor' so forcefully come against someone whose mission was for the progress of Americans by promoting the growth of American middle class. What happens to philanthropism. Rafael Cruz is a disgrace to old age & the pastorial sect.

wow... so now obama is jesus christ??? you obama supporters really have gone off the deep end!

btw, obama has done more to decimate the middle class than any other president. income levels continue to drop because of a non-existent recovery (blacks are esepcially hit) and now even obama's supporters, the labor unions, say obamacare is going to destroy the middle class. meanwhile prices climb on food and fuel.

Reading comprehension here- the poster said Cruz was like the Pharasees. Casual observation would show the GOP actively work against the poor- and seemingly hate them (remember the 47% comment by Saint Romney?). As the Bible mentions taking care of the poor more than 300 times, one might assume good Christians would help the poor. As the GOP doesn't- what does that mean?
As far as equating Mr. Obama with Jesus- it is you and yours that use the "Messiah" term all the time.

of course no details.... because it'll be the same old drivel he has been selling for the last 4.5 years that hasn't worked. let me guess, the rich aren't paying their fair share and the middle class is falling behind. increase taxes on everybody already paying through the nose so obama and the democrats can further feather the beds of their supporters, to do-nothings and leeches on our society.

obama and the democrats think the government own you and everything you make. they think we are all government slaves.
    ***************
As opposed to being corporate slaves who work harder for less money and benefits than our parents? For some reason, the Right seems to think everything before Obama was some kind of Golden Age, and that having to pay for things the government provides is theft ( except for tax cuts). Got news for you: skipping out before paying the tab, or charging things on a credit card with no intention of paying is theft. The policies the Right has put forth and implemented at the nation, state and local level has thrust more and more of the burden onto a middle class they have helped to destroy. Funny thing is that back in the 19th century, the GOP helped to build the middle class, and now, true to form they are destroying their own creation. Strange that they seem to believe they are the only ones working in this country, yet they always find time to watch FOX, listen to talk radio and post hateful drivel on the internet that they would not dare to utter in a bar, a church, at work or even in their homes. It would seem as though their real motto is " Indocrination before Performance". The complaints they have are nothing more than the rage of dreaming sheep, lulled into complacency by media whose word they accept without question, and by a set of buzzwords arranged in such a way that they actually feel like they possess the only truth on the planet. Gotta love their self-constructed bubble, its a miracle of engineering and self-deception.

More of Tax payers money going down the drain on his bus tour , and the fuel that runs the bus is not made in America.

Why can't he take a jet or a yacht like most world leaders ?

Why is the bus black ? Why isn't it covered with red white and blue logo , and say something on the side like " Freedom Is Just Another Word For Nothing Else to Lose " ?

@SNIFFITT the last thing we need right now are more laws, congress stinks no doubt. However bammy does nothing to lead. Welfare and food stamps are at an all time high. This is really a case of removing peoples rights. By keeping poorer lower income people dependent on the government its called acceptable slavery, anything for a vote from this guy. The failures are too, too many to count from closing gitmo to I heard it on the news like you. Its become to norm, to lie to steal dignity from people. This is what you voted for please quit blaming everyone and everything under the sun for bammys failures>and yours you voted for him.

    It hasn't worked?

obama and the democrats had the run of the country 2009-2010. ever hear of the big stimulus package and all the other gimmicks costing hundreds of billions??? crazy joe biden...recovery summer of 2010??? what recovery???

record unemloyment, record debt and deficits 4.5 years later with an economy one tilt away from recession again. yeah, things are going just great! only leftist koolaide drinkers.think so.

so how about all those union people, and now government workers, trying to get out of obamacare??? if it is so dang good, why is everybody trying to get away from it?

obama and the far left democrats have been an unmitigated disaster to this country over the last 4.5 years. thankfully, the american people put an end to their insanity in 2010 when they stripped them of the house. only since that happened has the economy started to show signs of hope. not until obama and his band of leftist fools is removed will the country fully recover.
