Palin says Christie isn't 'rogue'

(CNN) - While some in the GOP have been hesitant to choose sides in the recent rift between Sen. Rand Paul and Gov. Chris Christie, Sarah Palin says she knows exactly where she stands.

"I'm on Team Rand," she said this weekend.

In an interview with Fox News, the former Alaska governor praised the Republican senator from Kentucky for his "healthy libertarian streak" and added his point of view should be taken up more broadly among politicians.

Christie and Paul took part in a high-profile spat in the media last month over their disagreements regarding government surveillance programs and federal relief aid for Superstorm Sandy victims. The back-and-forth between the potential 2016 GOP presidential candidates essentially came to an end when Christie brushed off an invitation by Paul to sit down and have a beer, saying his re-election bid kept him on a busy schedule.

Palin, who's not known to be the best of friends with Christie, had some choice words for the New Jersey governor on Saturday. As a former governor herself who dubbed her approach as "rogue," she argued Christie doesn't pass the same test.

"Some people look at him as, 'Oh man he's the governor who goes rogue'," she said. "No."

She added that his confrontational reputation amounts to nothing more than a "shtick" set up by his office. Christie is a "go-along-to-get-along" type of politician who favors more government, she also said.

The governor's office declined to comment on Palin's remarks.

He's finishing what he started, so he's naturally not going to be liked by Palin.

That should put the nail in Rand's run for president. If we wanted rogue, we would have elected Wayne LaPierre.

Palin, who the heck wants her..She's a plaque carrying rat that kills any intelligent being she comes close to..She's sucks the politics out of real people and replaces it with ignorence which she has plenty of and isn't scared to use it..Now if we could only have the MIC bottle it and use it against our enemies and boy what a sure victory that would be !!

This is not surprising.......kooks tend to stick together. A "former governor herself".......calling her a former governor is a bit like calling an athlete who made the team, but then walked off the field halfway through the first game, a ball player. While Christie has some obvious faults, Palin hasn't earned the right to call him on them.

Just love reading Palin stories! I've missed her "weighing in" on relevant topics lately. Good to hear her view, stupid as it is, on anything in the news. The more she talks, the less attractive the GOP-TEAer's are to normal, rational people with brains in their heads. Keep up the good work, Palin!

So, in other words, things are looking up for Christie.

If I was a politician, even a [R] one, there would be one thing I'd look to have first to guage my success: an estrangement from the lead she-wolf of America's trailer trash. Even the TeaParty intellectuals (you know, the ones who like to stare at TV programs with monkeys in them) know that this one is rancid meat.

Chris Christie's chances for 2016 just got exponentially better. Being rejected by Sara Palin is electoral gold.

At least Christie has a brain and can put basic sentences together coherently. I guess that Palins view of "rogue" is walking around saying random feel-good crazy stuff no one understands. Things like "dead fish flow down stream" and somehow that's supposed to be a policy statement. So, under that statement I guess Rand Paul is more "rogue" than Christie.

Actually, the attributes you credit her with are subjective. I mean, what the **** is up with those crazy eyes and those flaring nostrils, not to mentiond that giganitc lump on the side left side (right side for anyone looking at the photo) of her throat? Honestly, she looks crazy – kinda like she's about to burst an artery.

    @Sniffin,

"great looks"? Maybe if you're 50+, no offense.

Anyway, hey CNN, what did Sean Hannity or Rachel Maddow say today about stuff? Why are you breathlessly reporting every word from an entertainer on a competing network?

WHY does CNN continue to write about what THIS WOMAN SAYS?? She is a QUITTER that couldn't even finish her term as a governor of a fairly easy state to govern!! She gave a great speech ONCE! She showed America she is of average (if not less than average) intelligence more than a half dozen times. The world will be better off when CNN decides not to give the "blowhards" in the political world any attention and focus on the real issues. She has NO POWER other than what the news outlets give her by continuing to write about what she thinks like it REALLY MATTERS...So absurd.....so annoying...we deserve better..

Responding to the next question, the half term Governor said...
"Who's been painting my roses red?
Who's been painting my roses red?
Who dares to taint with vulgar paint
    The royal flower bed
    For painting my roses red
    Someone will lose his head"!

No, half-term Gov. Palin, Christie isn't rogue. The word you're looking for and seem unacquainted with is educated. Large and loud but not lacking in IQ.

Of course she never appears until its about something trivial! This looney tune never weigh in on anything of substance because she wouldn't know what the heck to say. Sarah Palin is about as silly as they come and no matter what she says, she is a quitter who can throw punches, but can't take them!

If Jabberwocky Barbie is calling you "rogue" it means you spew batsh-t crazy nonsense on a regular basis and rarely land a rational thought.
