San Diego mayor out of rehab, but locked out of office

Los Angeles (CNN) - San Diego Mayor Bob Filner, facing a growing tide of sexual harassment allegations, has completed his two-week intensive behavior therapy a week early and will begin outpatient treatment, his lawyer said.

But he might not be back at work in his office any time soon. His chief of staff changed the locks, according to numerous reports, including one by CNN affiliate KFMB.

Completed a 2 week course in just a week? Did he ace the final exam? Was this the accelated program? Yeah, I 'm trying to be funny but not at what he did! Nothing funny about that, but this dude is bad news! He is not serious about this rehab at all!

Certainly gives you that impression if you only read the first sentence, eh? Apparently, he also started a week early (second sentence), so that's why he finished a week early. CNN wrote the headline in that vague and ambiguous manner specifically to create the misperception you just ranted. He did the full 2 weeks...he started them a week early, so he finished them a week early than he said he would.

That being said, yeah, he just need to go away.

"pelosi had to have known this guy had serious problems."

Oh? And why's that? Why would a federal representative from San Fran know all about the goings on of the Sand Diego mayor's office, particularly sexual harassment that the victims never reported? Hmmm? Please explain that...and no, "my tinfoil hat said so" is not the answer.

    FIFY

Deliberately misleading headline is deliberately misleading.

Man, really working the tinfoil hat into overdrive, eh? Do you wear an asbestos cap underneath it to prevent it from burning your scalp?

Filner served 10 terms, or 20 years, in Congress before being elected mayor of San Diego last year.

Pelosi and the rest of the Democrats had to have known this guy was doing this if he was in Congress for 20 years. I'm sure it didn't just start a little while ago. Maybe Gloris Alred should be suing Nancy Pelosi as well to see what she knew and when she knew it? This smells a lot like the Catholic church covering up the abuse of children. I'll bet the Democrat Party has been covering up for this guy as well.

    "outpatient"

I don't like this word to describe the generally pseudo-science of counseling in particular and psychiatry on the whole.

Maybe Filner, Weiner and Spitzer can all go into therapy together??? Might I suggest someplace in North Korea?

This is just SAD and extremely self-serving. They man has little or no self-control all his life and he's going to fix it in two weeks???? America, we are really in bad shape when a person with such a disorder does not have to leave office because they have disgraced the office. This sets a new LOWER standard to be a public official.
