Bush daughter wants Clinton to run

(CNN) – Barbara Bush, daughter of former President George W. Bush, wants Hillary Clinton to run for president.

The 31 year-old CEO of the nonprofit Global Health Corps said she wants to see a Clinton run in 2016 in the upcoming Aug. 26 issue of People Magazine. During an interview that focused primarily on her volunteer work, Barbara Bush called Clinton "unbelievably accomplished."

But a Clinton vote by the Bush twin, herself unaffiliated politically, is not guaranteed. "I don't know who she'd be running against," said the daughter of the Republican president.

    Oh, I like her! Not a member of a party. Not making up her mind until she sees all the candidates. We need more like her.

    Nice sentiment. Unfortunately Ms. Bush has set herself up to be lambasted by the the "usual suspects".

    If only we had more sane thinking ex president kids. I always loved Mrs Laura Bush and just knowing she helped raise such an intelligent young only makes me respect her even more.

    Ideological differences can be eschewed as long as America's royal families continue to reign.

    Lol !!! Wow !!! Now this is news to me. The Bush daughter wanting Hilary Clinton to run, even tho she is not politicaly involved on voting for her yet. I say it will be a betrayal to the Bush Family especially to Mr Goerge W Bush if she does decide to vote for Hilary.

    If she does votes Hilary in 2016 I'd say she's a smart girl and I'd give her a lot of respect and she is smart for making that choice to vote for Hilary in 2016.

    Although no one would be sure if Barbara Bush is sincere or just playing the crowd, one thing is for sure. Hillary WILL garner the majority or female voters in the US and even some from the moderate Republicans.

    If anyone has listened to right wing radio lately, you know that they are desperate to portray Hillary as far left wing. But is it true? Of course not. She is a centrist as we all can see. She is an advocate of strong military, moderate socially, and has always work to build consensus in a collaborative way from her time in the Senate. If the GOP does not address the immigration issue soon, they are not going to be positioned to compete in 2016.

    Both her and sister needed to make a tour of Iraq, but they didn't. Hillary, is a lock for the position, but endorsement from Bush is a non plus at best. Who cares what this brood thinks?

    @rs and Malory Archer

    tom l.

    to coup or not to coup. that is the question.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Are you aware that the minute the President does call it a coup, he'll have no choice but to cut off all financial aid to Egypt, throwing Israel under the bus? Is that what you want? Nah – truth be told, it doesn't matter what he does; you'll just come down on the opposite side of the issue.
    _________________________
    Just silly "gotcha" word games from the Right. They have no solution to this problem. They just want to blame somebody for something that was bound to happen anyway. The Right woul LOVE to beat Obama with anything that put Israel in harms way.

    Ummm, Israel is already in harm's way so what is at issue is our laws and our rules when it comes to foreign aid. The only one playing silly word games is our president. Cutting off aid to Egypt will not "throw Israel under the bus" (something our president has had no problem doing since he's been in office) so all that really matters is right from wrong. This is a coup. It's the definition of a coup.

    And the only ones that come on one side no matter what are the likes of rs, P.D. Sniffit, Wake Up and Malory (there's many more on that list). You are aware that no matter what the issue is that all of you support the president every single time. Every. Single. Time.

    Oh, and by the way, I believe it was rs on an earlier post that called this a coup. Why do you on the left argue over absolute facts and say something false? It happens on the far right, too, but wow you guys are unbeleivable and you just make stuff up. It's really sad how this administration, and the hardcore partisan party people, have been so brainwashed and never think for themselves.

    this is what is scaring the shortcake out of the right wing. They know women will cross party lines for Hillary, even more-so than they did for Obama. And no amount of screaming Benghazi over and over can stop her. Besides, how do run against Hillary, the more you attack her the more likely your attacks offend women.

    This is how you start –

    "Mrs. Clinton, you were Secretary of State for 4 years. What do you think were your most important accomplishments in your tenure?".... and then wait for the crickets.
