Judges implore Congress to avoid more cuts

Washington (CNN) - Judges from 49 states are beseeching Congress to avoid another round of sequestration cuts, saying they "would directly affect our ability to carry out our constitutional and statutory duties."

The letter by 87 federal judges was sent Tuesday to both chambers of Congress, which are in recess until September. It included chief justices from every state but Nevada.

    STARTS there too. And perhaps that's even more to the point here.

    The sequester is a great success ! The HORRORS predicted by the President and his willing accomplises in the media have NOT come true. Most Govt depts. are cutting waste to make up for the decreases and the deficit is SHRINKING as a result of the cuts (watch for the President to claim the smaller deficits are a result of his policies). Of course the spending cuts could have been apportioned better but they prove that our Govt can easily do with less....a nice little lesson isn't it.

    Oh, absolutely. I so love that our working poor have been made to pay the price of our inept government House of Representatives. Nothing makes me smile more than taking from the poor. I get a really big rush just thinking about how I can keep screwing my down and out friends and neighbors.

    Did you get a chance to read where Paul (call me Ayn) Rand was a special guest of the Kochs? it appears they were entertained by him trying to peel a banana with his feet while keeping his shoes on.

    @Lynda/Minnesota

    How have the poor faired under the President since he was elected? What are the dems proposing to do to lift people out of poverty besides giving them foodstamps? People get out of poverty by having opportunities to find private sector jobs created by Americans who have the opportunity to take risks and build businesses. The more the Dems grow Govt the less the private sector has to create real jobs.
