I respect teachers, but, some teachers should not be allowed near dull knives let alone guns.

As a former public school teacher the answer is simple – NO.

Firearms have no place in a classroom. If we have come to the point where this sort of abomination is necessary – then perhaps it is necessary to admit the authors of the Bill of Rights had no idea of a society like ours and weapons like the ones we have available.

Christie made the absurd argument that restricting the right of citizens to own a $10K sniper rifle infringes on their freedom. To do what – kill people?

Unlike most of the 2nd Amendment whack jobs – I have a DD 214. I served. Guns don't frighten me – they just don't belong in ten headlines every single evening – and that's the local news. If you feel some sort of visceral need for the biggest, fastest shooting weapon you might want to make an appointment with a psychiatrist.

Regardless of what anyone thinks about gun control let's thank shrub #43 for helping arm everyone in the country by repealing the assault weapons ban.
Another criminal act by his administration.
Go bush, go back to that ugly ranch of yours. Hope you are now enjoying an every day vacation. One third of your presidency on vacation was probably not enough for you and yours,

100% absolutely no teachers should be carrying guns in schools. Teachers get a degree to teach, that is his or her profession. They are not professionally trained for protecting our children with guns. Do you realize how many people, and it would only take one person to get hold of the teachers gun during class??? Do you realize how much danger all of these children would be in??? Even if it was done as a joke, it would still not be funny. They would be in just as much danger as if someone just broke into the school. The guns need to be in the hands of the law officials. Stick medical alert necklaces around all of the teachers necks and then have them all linked together. At least then no one is in danger by having a gun on them. When danger does happen all the police and the teachers would all know at the same time, instead of wondering if something is real or not real happening. Then the teachers would know how to protect the children. Just a thought. Guns out of schools! You would also then set bad examples for our children who would then think it's ok to play with and carry guns on them at all times when it absolutely not. Only if your law official, military ect.. people who are trained to protect and serve our country and it's not teachers. This would put massive pressure on the teachers and then you would be required to pay the teachers extra. If your paying the teachers extra to secure the school, then just pay to hire real security guards!
