Is it 'High Noon' for Obama on Syria?

Washington (CNN) - If President Barack Obama fancies himself a modern Will Kane of "High Noon," standing up for what's right when his allies desert him on Syria, he might be following advice the marshal got in the iconic 1952 Western film.

Kane, played by Gary Cooper, goes to his mentor and predecessor Martin Howe in a last-ditch plea for help, but the former lawman - crippled by age and arthritis - declines and explains why everyone from the judge to the deputy to the church-going folks of Hadleyville backed off.

this is the mess you find yourself in when obama's lead from behind strategy plays itself out. first he shoots his mouth off during the election, tryin to act tough. then assad calls his bluff because everybody on the planet knows obama is an empty suit when it comes to the exercise of power. when you foolishly draw lines in the sand, you obligate yourself, or in this case you obligate others like our military, to back those words up with action wen that line is crossed. all obama knows how to do is shoot his mouth off, for 5 years and counting. he thinks that is all it will take and the world will kneel before him.

assad is going to teach the community organizer a thing or two about making idle threats and in the process this nation will be weaker. obama's failures on the economic/jobs front and now being surpassed on the foreign policy front.

What some do not understand is: Pres. Obama is not doing this for himself neither for his family/relatives. He is doing for the entire nation, hence the world at large. Those who think it is the movie, they better take their unseriousness somewhere else. When it is time to play, let us all play, when it is time to mean business, let us all engage and do something beneficial for all of us.

Obama has had a long time to build consensus and put together a coalition to address the problem is Syria. There have been prior, smaller usage of chemical weapons in Syria. Now he we stand, no UN vote to authorize action, no congressional support and no allies willing to help us. So Democrats.... where is all this great Obama support from around the world? All this restored image and faith in the USA because Obama is President? Or was it all just more of the usual leftist propaganda? Sure looks like it from here.

lesson folks, America has to be powerful and looked up to. if we lose this edge we are done as the only world power in the world, because it doesn't make sense to be a world power and people doesn't know it and admire your status. Obama need to enter the G summit with his chess puffed out because he represent the only super power at this summit, and all these other leaders should look up to him, he represent the strength and power of this planet, and we need to show it. Russia will no longer be looked up on and they cannot stand this. America rules alone and other countries need to respect her power.
