Hillary Clinton supports Obama on Syria

(CNN) – Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton backs President Barack Obama's proposal to take military action in Syria, an aide told CNN's Jessica Yellin on Tuesday.

"Secretary Clinton supports the President's effort to enlist the Congress in pursuing a strong and targeted response to the Assad regime's horrific use of chemical weapons," the aide said.

Clinton, a potential contender for president in 2016, had been receiving questions and some criticism for not speaking out amid recent developments, including the president's decision to seek congressional approval from Congress before launching any strikes.

As secretary of state, Clinton had voiced support for arming the opposition.

Politico was the first to report Clinton's support for the president's decision.

Mrs. Clinton knows as well as most people in the World that think these things thru. The president did what he had to do, he had no support from anyone, and the support he had was token at best. The United States of America needs to be just that 'United' and move forward as the whole World is watching, not just factions of the Tea Party or the RNC that would like President Obama to fail, just because. This problem is bigger than any small faction. We need to stand by our President and stand togeather as the strongest World Power, and remind the World we are of one voice, one people.

Great political move on Obama to get Congress's support. I think it was much needed.

WHO CARES what she thinks? She, as Sec. of State should have been building coalitions abroad two years ago to stop this BEFORE 100,000 died!

What are you doing here CNN, trying to create the air of leadership for her in anticipation of the czar in a pantsuit!?

I stand behind Secretary John Kerry. Although Clinton may not have the same intentions as Kerry by arming the opposition. Sitting by silently doesn't send a very good message to the rest of the world. Selectively showing al-Assad that chemical weapons are not ethical and inhumane is what should be done.

Mrs. Clinton expressed her support for the president's decision to involve Congress in the Syria chemical attack situation.

That's really all that is necessary.

Forget what Hillary thinks, Kerry is the only true statesman we have. And I am a Republican saying this. I would actually vote for him in 2016 if he were to run. He is smart, likeable, and a true leader. Hillary is fluff, she watched 100,000 die and not one peep.

Hillary Clinton is NOT a public official. She was NEVER elected from the state of Florida. She was elected in the ONLY state where she could possibly win, New York, and I don't care WHAT Hillary Godham Clinton thinks about anything!!!!
