Dem Senator blasts 'creepy' ads

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Sen. Patty Murray blasted one of several new ads attacking Obamacare for being "deplorable and sexist" on Friday.

The ads are by a libertarian group, Generation Opportunity, which feature young people who go to a doctor's appointment only to have an intentionally creepy Uncle Sam pop up ready to give them an exam. Meant to encourage young people to "opt out," of Obamacare, one ad features a young woman implicitly having a gynecological exam.

To that ad in particular, Murray, D-Washington, called on Republican leaders to "immediately repudiate these tactics and those who stoop to use them."

"This ad represents right-wing scare tactics at the most deplorable and sexist level," Murray said in the statement, saying that the ad is supported by the ultra-conservative Koch brothers.

"This ad shows the utter disregard the right-wing continues to have for women, their privacy, and their ability to make decisions about their own bodies."

In an emailed statement, a Generation Opportunity spokesman hit back at Murray for "allowing her staff to opt-out of expensive and creepy Obamacare exchanges."

"It's a shame she doesn't feel her constituents deserve the same options when it comes to health care coverage," the spokesman, David Pasch, said.

More GOP/Teatroll projection eh? The creepy people who made "transv-ginal probe" a political rallying cry are trying to scare women about "Obamacare is gonna rayou up your hoohoo"? Another high water mark in hypocrisy brought to you by the plutocrats and their feckless puppets.

Have fun with your dwindling share of the female vote, GOPers/Teatrolls. OUTREACH!

The only positive to come from this is that NOW we have a couple of faces to associate with this deplorable type of message. David and Charles Koch. Not only are they content to ruin our invirnment, now they intent on ruining the middle and lower classes, FOR THEIR OWN GREEDING INTERESTS. When is enough already. How do they explain their actions to their kids and their grandchildren. What message are they passing on. GREED, GREED, and more GREED.

The Republicans continue to try to end "Obamacare" and did so again today. Instead of sitting down and refining the program and making it more agreeable for them they take the lazy way out and voting it down.

There are too many Representatives and Senators who are doing nothing while taking a pay check. Their decision not to work with the person who was elected President by a good margin is mind-boggling. Their hands are being tied by the TEA Party – a group that represents a special interest. They are afraid to do anything and it is clear that they lack courage.

The leadership will not buck the TEA Party either. They are afraid that the TEA Party will put up their own candidate for the seat forcing them to beat a TEA Party candidate in rough and tumble primary. The problem we face is having a minority group forcing members to spout their message or facing a candidate in the primary who has money and the TEA Party supporting them while they are running for the House or Senate. It is a very sad time for politicians and a very sad time for us.. The Republicans do not even see that something is wrong when any member owes his allegiance to a special interest group.

The complaint about Congressional staff "opting out" of exchanges is ridiculous. The majority of Americans, like that staff, has been and will continue to receive health insurance through their employer. I've been getting BCBS insurance through my employer since I got out of college in the 70's and it will become my Medicare Supplemental when I'm 65.

The only thing that's changed is that the rate of premium increase has happily dropped like a rock since Obamacare kicked-in!

I love how the party that pretends to be the most patriotic is the one that uses Uncle Sam, an enduring icon from the greatest times in our history, as a villain.
Republicans hate the United States. They may like the citizens of the US, but they hate the idea of government being anything more than a list of "THOU SHALT NOT" commandments.

Once again, the Teaverts are at it. These are the most twisted and demonized set of people set loose on society since the Civil War. This ad only proves how far the Teaverts will go to push their radical agenda on the American public. Not only is this offensive to women, but doctors and medical personnel should also take offense. Is there no limit to what these maniacs will do to try and destroy our president?

The thing is that it Republican controlled state legislatures that play gynecologists deciding what tests a woman must have what procedures she can't have. They say government shouldn't get between a doctor and patient unless the patient is female.

Nice job, calling even more attention to an effort that was certain to fail anyway.

Does our entire Congress agree to have 3/4 of their gray matter removed when they take office?

I am actually alright with this. If people are so stupid an uncle sam version of the burger king guy can convince them to go without health care for no reason then fine buy me you gotta thin the heard some how. I love how it gives no facts and doesn't even give an argument to opt out other than the laughable proposition that a government representative will be conducting medical exams. Looks to me like a libertarian group wasting cash.

Yes, keep the government out of healthcare!
Leave it with the money grubbing, profit driven insurance companies where it belongs!

Only insurance companies should tell us what doctors to go to, what treatments we're allowed and how much to pay !!!!
