Dem Senator blasts 'creepy' ads

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Sen. Patty Murray blasted one of several new ads attacking Obamacare for being "deplorable and sexist" on Friday.

The ads are by a libertarian group, Generation Opportunity, which feature young people who go to a doctor's appointment only to have an intentionally creepy Uncle Sam pop up ready to give them an exam. Meant to encourage young people to "opt out," of Obamacare, one ad features a young woman implicitly having a gynecological exam.

To that ad in particular, Murray, D-Washington, called on Republican leaders to "immediately repudiate these tactics and those who stoop to use them."

"This ad represents right-wing scare tactics at the most deplorable and sexist level," Murray said in the statement, saying that the ad is supported by the ultra-conservative Koch brothers.

"This ad shows the utter disregard the right-wing continues to have for women, their privacy, and their ability to make decisions about their own bodies."

In an emailed statement, a Generation Opportunity spokesman hit back at Murray for "allowing her staff to opt-out of expensive and creepy Obamacare exchanges."

"It's a shame she doesn't feel her constituents deserve the same options when it comes to health care coverage," the spokesman, David Pasch, said.

I find it interesting that the right wing finds these ads appropriate... Do they not see the irony in their stance on "Obamacare" versus forcing women to get ultrasounds against their wishes if they are getting an abortion? On the one hand, the party of small government wants government out of your life, yet they are not shy about forcing government into your life to suit their ideological agendas... The right wingers are the supreme example of hypocrisy.

Pretty creepy SYSTEM there Patty! You OWN it and the people do NOT want your snooping eyes on their medical records or supposedly "protecting" their personal information.

The people who produced these ads are despicable and disgusting, not to mention LIARS. This is not going to happen. These are all scare tactics aimed at stupid people who listen to Rush and his ilk and believe them.

The funniest things about ACA and the controversy are the misinformation. #1 not everybody will need to buy insurance, nor pay a penalty. #2 the lack of rational, adult discussion, #3 the extremes that the right will go to influence people and #4 the fact that people don't get upset about the insurance corporations limiting coverage, but get upset when the federal government gets involved.

I guess the anti-government messages being sent over years from the ultra-right has been effective.

The irony is, the House GOP wants to kill Obamacare for everyone while still enjoying their own posh healthcare as members of Congress. Anyone who buys in to the "anti-Obamacare" hysteria, due in large part to healthcare industry lobbying just like they killed HilaryCare before, deserves to get hosed by their HMO (and/or local emergency room if they don't already have health care from their job).

So Patty, if Obamacare is so great, then why is Obama exempting all his cronies and congress from having to participate?

How do police and government agencies determine who is on who's side? Follow the money, leads straight back to the Koch brothers, when big money tells you a law designed to encourage you to see the doctor is bad, it can only mean one thing, its all about money.unless of course you believe they care about you,in that case you really do need to seek medical attention asap

Did Patty and her pals say the same thing about their ads with a lookalike Paul Ryan shoving a wheelchair bound granny over the cliff. Phony outrage from the left as usual. CNN is carrying the lefts water as usual. No Ocare, no government intrusion into my body and life. Go away and I will supply my own as I always have.

Our healthcare system is broken and needs to be overhauled. The ACA is the first step in that direction and the big money people can't stand it.

All this hoopla from the horse and pony show! Let the people vote on it and be done with it! Neither party has your best interest at heart here. Dems just wanna tax us into the ground. Reps just wanna have their way. We've got more important things to worry about! The govt stifling small business, ruining the coal industry and many others. Senator Murray get to work on making a budget and start doing your job!

Republicans are very sick people, and we need to eliminate the Nazi's in their midst.

This is not dissimilar to Nazi Germany in the 30's where Tea Bag former KKK skinheads are trying to steal everything you have.

Stop Big Insurance. Stop Big Money. Stop the Skinheads.

Go get them President Obama – you've whupped their sorry corrupt butt's 3-4 times, and this will be nothing new.

The repubs see no irony in legislating the compulsory rape of women with instruments for no medical purpose and running this add which implies that Obama wants to do what sharia law-loving right wingers are already putting into practice. Republs should stick to proving the world is 6,000 years old as a means of damage control.
