Pelosi: Hillary Clinton more ready for WH than husband or Obama was

Washington (CNN) – House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi continued to offer effusive praise for Hillary Clinton, saying the former secretary of state would be one of the best-prepared incoming presidents if she decided to run in 2016.

"If she does, she will win and when she becomes president, she'll be one of the best-equipped, best-prepared people to enter the White House in a very long time," Pelosi said in an interview that aired Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union."

Noting Clinton's experience as secretary of state, as a U.S. senator from New York and as a first lady, Pelosi said Clinton would be "more prepared than President Obama; certainly more prepared than President Bush; certainly more prepared than President Clinton I might admit."

Asked by CNN's chief political correspondent Candy Crowley if Clinton would be more prepared than Vice President Joe Biden, Pelosi said Biden is also "very prepared."

"And I think President Bush Sr. was prepared. He was - had been a vice president," she said. "But I'm talking about recent memory of presidents that we have had."

Like Clinton, Biden has not ruled out another presidential run. His trips to Iowa and South Carolina in the last week added fire to the speculation.

But would Pelosi prefer Clinton or Biden?

"You know what, when they just announce that they're running, I'll let you know," she said.

"I always have had a habit of saying when you're serious about running, I'll be serious about it," she added. "But I think it would be magnificent for America to have a woman president. I think it would be just wonderful."

A poll released by CNN/ORC International released last week indicated Clinton would have 65% support among Democrats, with Biden a distant second at 10%, in a potential Democratic primary.

Benghazi, Benghazi, BENGHAZI!!!!!!!! Leave it to Pelosi to find a more corrupt person than Obama to push for the presidency. She is just the right amount of crime, corruption, lying, incompetence and ineptness to succeed what up to date has been the most corrupt, incompetent, inept president this country has ever had. Hillary is the perfect candidate for democrat liberals.

  5. Of course she's ready

No person in America has been more power hungry than Hillary Clinton, followed closely by Mitt Romney.

If anyone has wanted to be President for that long or that badly, they're not fit to lead. Our greatest President was a man who did it because it was seen as a DUTY, NOT a pinnacle of ambition.

Too power hungry. Can we have a different Democrat please? Someone who has not filthied her hands in Washington status quo?

Just because you've spent a lot of time around the White House, in a professional capacity or otherwise, does not mean you'll make a good President.

Hilary for President and Joe for Vice Pres. Yes it is time for us to have a woman President AND with more experience than any man has. Joe does well with working with his former Senators. He has given the V.P. job a good name.

    I can see it now

The Dems vilified anyone who voted against Obama as racist, and they'll vilify anyone who votes against Hillary as a sexist

We can only hope people don't fall for it

If people want real change, they need to say no to political dynasties, and continued corruption.

I think it would be great to have a woman president, Hillary is NOT it. I want someone I can trust in there to make the right decisions, someone with integrity, Hillary is Not it. Just because I would like to see a woman president and I am anxious for it, doesn't mean I'm going to make a bad choice and vote for one just because she's running. Just look at the last two terms as an example. People were so excited and anxious to have an African American as president and voted Obama in because he fit the description, now look how that turned out the past 5 years where he really hasn't accomplished anything good and now we are listening to the Russian president to lead.
People, vote with your head, not you heart.

Hillary in 2016? Fuggetaboutit. She'll be nearly 70 years old, and the skeletons will be coming out of her closet, after all, she doesn't have the right skin pigmentation.

Statistically speaking, the political pendulum will be swinging back the other way, and we will not have 16 or even 12 years years of a Democrat president. History proves it.

I think she's meaner and knows more about which Congressmen have what skeletons in their closets than Obama or G W Bush or Bill Clinton. She'll be a more effective President.

    First Lady of Arkansas
    First Lady of US
1 term Senator with no significant achievements
Secretary of State with the following:
    Iran still developing nukes
    NK still building nukes
Russia relationship at an all time low
    Supported Muslim Brotherhood
    Red line drawn in Syria
China still pegging its currency and sucking away jobs.
    Mexico run by drug lords

So what exactly has she ever accomplished that qualifies her to be President? Shouldn't you be able to point to something she did that was of value? The Democratic Party has to have better than this.
