(CNN) – President Barack Obama has made it clear to the public that he's quit smoking. But Monday he may have hinted at the real reason why: he's afraid of his wife.
The moment of candor followed a roundtable discussion during a conversation caught on camera at the United Nations General Assembly between Obama and Maina Kiai, the U.N. Special Rapporteur for rights to freedom of peaceful assembly.
Caught off-mic, Obama said to Kiai: "I hope you've quit smoking."
To that Kiai replies: "Sometimes."
Obama then says "no, no, no I haven't" followed by a word that's inaudible and then: "in six years. That's 'cause I'm scared of my wife."

Crack that whip Mrs. Obama!!
In a new poll, the per cent of Americans who support Cruz and the republican efforts of shutting down government in order to defund Obamacare, is 19%. Hell, 10%of Americans think Mittens killed bin Laden. It looks like only nut cases are tying themselves to the Republican Party.
Happy wife happy marriage 🙂
Good for you Mr. President. Your wife and daughters want you around for a very long time.
I did a little digging. According to Michelle Obama, Mr. Obama quit smoking only about 2 years ago. If he is saying here that he hasn't smoked in 6 years, then all he's doing is blowing smoke! Something at which he is very good.
Dose he still chew the gum ?
Dose his wife let him ?
Another lie by Obama.
Michelle said Obama quit in 2011 and Obama says he quit 6 years ago must be that fuzzy math he used when selling us down the river with Obamacare.
Who isn't scared of their wives if you have any brains...
Again he shows intelligence and good judgement 😀
Thats a line for the Repubs...... Carry the 'Hostage' negotiation to Michele instead of Barrack.
