I was watching Cruz read from Dr. Seuss's "Green Eggs and Ham," in the senate, which republicans must think has something to do with their shutting down the government. Frivolity from the right is just what our country needs to get out of the economic disaster they created?

Cheep suits and bad haircuts , cruz is definitely not referring to Darrell Issa or Randy Paul.

Cruz doesn't need to worry about his two little girls and his wife not having medical coverage .

A very selfish man who should have gone to art school in Canida !

I'm just an average american. I don't know how to express my frustration with the members of congress. I have a son that's still in school and I can't explain to him why our men and women in congress are so narrow minded. I don't care what party is helping this country, but I feel strongly that we have to get angry with our congress. I'm not that short sighted to think that it's all bad, but all I keep hearing is negative. Do congress care about fixing our issues or do they feel it's better to find fault. They are acting like children. Let's focus on issues. It's so sad that grown adults are running our country and they can't focus on the issues. It's clear that the GOP hates Obama. I don't use the word hate, but in this case, this is the only word that describes what is happening in congress. Just listen to them. It's not about healthcare or economy, it's very clear that it has become a very personal issue. It's sad. It's amazing that our president is seemingly the cause for everything. Please stop the school yard crap. Just shut up and do something for the country. If the people find out how much healthcare the congress is getting, they might want to re-think who is complaining. Congress is out of touch. They have the kind of healthcare that we will never have. It's not only about money. Who is fighting for the average guy. I don't think it matters to someone that don't need to worry about healthcare. People are are complaining, I don't think they would be saying these things if they had to deal with having a serious health issue and than deal with the insurance. Make congress pay for their healthcare and they would not be so quick to blame everything on Obama. Sorry, I just had to rant, Chris

This man is an does not care about the poor and those who need help. He is Anti everything. Voted against the farm bill and food stamps, immigration reform, Environmental Protection Agency, does not want any form of background checks for guns, should I continue. He is not a believer in God. Men of God understand his teaching that you should love and help those who are in need.

How many of you actually know what Obamacare is all about. Go on the web-site and see how it helps all Americans. Learn instead of listening to those who really donot believe in God's teachings.

Why is Teddy talking against the bill passed in the house? He said he was in favor of their bill two days ago. And the world continues to laugh at the Republican Party.

Cruz has been lying about the ACA because he knows that there will not be any elected republican president in the next 20 years, and his future dreams of being the first Canadian president of the US, will not happen. It's all about him.

Every minute that Cruz stands (and probably lies) on the once esteemed floor of the Senate, the GOP loses a thousand voters. A trickle compared to what happens when these economic terrorists represented by Mr. Cruz, shut down the vital functions of our government.

Patriots? No, these are little, self-absorbed, delusional sellouts are on a political suicide mission- to bring down our nation, the economy (that which they didn't already mess up); or kill their party (not unlike the Taliban or Al Qaeda, I guess). You guys mights just want to lower the volume a bit, find some adult members of the GOP to say something rational, and put Cruz somewhere far, far away from microphones. You know you don't have that many voters to give away.

Be brave, boys. October 1st is just around the corner......and November 2014 is coming up too.

Or until Harry Reid tells him to shut up. Cruz's performance on the Senate floor while admirable will not stop Obamacare. This is not even a filibuster since Cruz is not blocking any Senate action. This is simply political theater ensuring his bone fides with the GOPTP.

He's one of yours. Glad he's not mine. Never surrounded myself with incompetent people in the past, and sure as hell not going to in the future. He's your's, you keep him.

Ted Cruz keeps insisting that he hates green eggs and ham, but he's never had green eggs and ham. When he finally tries them—he likes them!

I hope the estate of Theodor Seuss Geisel takes legal action against Cruz for exploiting the meaning of the book .

Other Ted Cruz TeaParty reading should include The Lorax , Horton Hears A Who! , and Horton Hatches the Egg .
Great reading material for the non environmentally friendly conservative politician.

Seriously?? You don't think people in this country don't need to take responsibility for his or her own health? You don't think people who have pre-existing conditions need to have health care coverage?? These people are myself, men, women, children, seniors, and veterans. What's wrong with everyone having healthcare? It's a shame that it had to come down to this to where people will be fined. Health care will be worth in it then end for everyone and especially if something were to happen to someone, like being diagnosed with an illness or gets in a car accident ect..

Laws were made to make everyone get car insurance and are you going to say that's a bad idea to???? It's called taking care of what you have and being responsible. The costs are greater if you don't have insurance, regardless to what kind of insurance it is.

I could care less what you have to say or how many hours you can stand on your feet, I am going to have insurance provided to me regardless of what you think, Ted Cruz. It's our right, as a country we can't deny millions of people and not provide care for them! It's unconstitutional. This "Affordable Health Care' is the law, it passed and was declared constitutional. This was at the "Supreme Court", so what you say is not going to defund this law at all.

Well we can NO LONGER STAND YOU, Mr Cruz. Why don't you want every American to be able to access basic healthcare? This is a god given right for any citizen of a coutnry that claims to care about their citizens.
