(CNN) – The Senate voted unanimously on Wednesday to move ahead on a spending plan needed to avoid a government shutdown next week, with Republicans, including Sen. Ted Cruz, unexpectedly reversing themselves after previously trying to block the measure over their objection to spending for Obamacare.
he and his crew of walking and talking tree stumps will come up with some last-second stunt..........
What in the world is wrong with the GOP? Do we need to start drug-testing these people?
Wait? Cruz just reversed his view point? Did he not just stand there and talk for 20 somewhat hours to prove a point? Please remember how weak this guy really is!!!
Something smells fishy.
The Senate voted unanimously on Wednesday to move ahead on a spending plan needed to avoid a government shutdown next week, with Republicans, including Sen. Ted Cruz, unexpectedly reversing themselves...
Can you say Schizophrenia?
We cannot take the Republicans serious about anything. They just make up foolishness and waste money with their nonsense. Please tell me why he wasted money and time for 21 hours just to move forward. Nothing but a an idiot. These nuts really need to be voted out. Boehner, McConnell, Cruz, Rubio, Paul and the rest of the nutty buddies have got to go.
Ted Cruz knows exactly what he's doing, and you can't spin this with your news stories. He will continue to fight to stop the implementation of Obamacare. It was never his nor any Republican's intention to shut down the government.
You've got to give someone, McConnel(?), credit for getting every last Repubilcan, including Mr. Cruz hamself, to take a collectively join the "surrender caucus" as one. Unity. Impressive. Most impressive.
The GOP is going to take their ball but sadly, they're not going home.
Ted Cruz reversing himself ???......... Am I day-dreaming or do we have another FOOLS-DAY in Sept.2013..... While I wish all and sundry happy survival for this episode of Repub chaos, I humbly look forward very soon another hell they will give us from the next chapter of their disaster playbook.
Woops, the old cut and paste missed a couple of words.
You've got to give someone, McConnell(?), credit for getting every last Repubilcan, including Mr. Cruz hamself, to take a leap of faith and collectively join the "surrender caucus" as one. Unity. Impressive. Most impressive.
So much for heroic last stands.
I wonder who talked them out of committing suicide? I sure would like to see that memo.
Aaaaaaand, 22 hours of mouthbreathing hoohah gone like a fart in a tornado...just like that.
Now, time to get back to watching the MSM deliberately avoid reporting on the new study report showing premiums will be lower than even the CBO predicted.
I believe the party is over for the teabaggers!
"HA ha!" - Nelson from "The Simpsons"
22 hours of blabbering off at the mouth for absolutely nothing.
Republicans voted against cloture in order to preserve their option to introduce amendments to the legislation when it is debated and presumably bing strip of Obamacare provisions – parliamentary Senate rules
Responsible as usual. The U.S. Senate.
Unresponsive as usual. U.S. House Republicans.
What the what????
So, the "principled" man voted against his principles, wasted time that could have been used doing something
constructive, and gained no respect (except maybe his tea party contingency).
Again, what a waste.
Apparently some adult realized how stupid Teddy was making the once Grand Old Party look.
Or, and this is the way I'm leaning....they along with their billionaire buddies in the insurance companies are going to work OT to make sure the ACA fails. Any way possible.
After irritating his party (and everybody else) with his fake filibuster, this idiot actually reversed his vote. Cruz should change his name to hypocrite.
Maybe we can send him a bottle of Hillary
So republicans/tea party are giving the people what they have asked for! Now they wait to see if it does what they predict. What else could they do? NOTHING???? They already have done that going on 6 years now.
