Boehner signals GOP focus now on debt ceiling

Washington (CNN) - Another day, another onslaught of political maneuvering and rhetoric in Washington as Congress faces the possibility of a partial government shutdown next week.

The Democratic-led Senate is considering a spending plan sent over by the Republican-led House that makes continued government funding contingent on eliminating all money for Obamacare.

Mr. Boehner will do whatever the Tea Party members in his caucus tell him to do. The tail is wagging the dog.

Any member of Congress who thinks we should shut down the government rather than help someone get medical care when they need it should be eliminated!!

That's what they call leadership. So when Pres. Obama doesn't do they want him to do, they call that lack of leadership.

    Somebody help me out here.

The Republicans are constantly saying they "control the purse strings", then that should mean that President
Obama cannot spend money Congress has not approved.
So, if the Republican- held House approves the spending, why do we go through this year after year of their
threats to "shut down the Government". If they didn't like the spending, why did they approve it?
Is it too much pork, or what. It's kind of like Cruz voting against his own "defund Obamacare" marathon.

Sorry, I don't get it, and I know someone can explain. Thanks

All you Boehner worshipers, before you agree with his latest tactics, you might want to go read what he is including in this plan and then try to determine how any of it benefits you and your family, because I've read it and it sure looks like the same ol' same ol' protect profits for corporations, too bad so sad for the people. And remember, you are "the people".

Moving right along now that all their health care talk went down in flames, the Republicans will now move on crashing the economy. I think the moment they fail to raise the debt ceiling (like they've done dozens of times over the last 30+ years), that they get arrested for disrupting government operations.
