Breaking: Senate Democrats pass spending bill, standoff with House GOP continues

(CNN) - The Senate on Friday approved a short-term spending plan that would avoid a government shutdown next week, sending the measure back to the House after Democrats restored funding for Obamacare, which is opposed by Republicans.

Boehner will declare a 5 week vacation to avoid having to make a decision. Sadly, he is a terrible speaker, but the GOP lacks sanity.

heard the solution by pat buchanon last night. house needs to pass individual funding bills for each dept., not associated with obamacare and send them back to the senate, with attached amendments to stop obamacare special favors and exemptions.

the government will be funded and all the special favors obama and the democrats have been handing out will end. will the democrats refuse to pass it and throw a tantrum and shut down the government???

You would think that the voices in their head that Michelle Bachmann and other right wingnuts hear, might be from insanity and not God.

Why are Obama and the Democrats going to shutdown the government even though the Republicans have funded it???? Because Deomcrats are criminals and terrorists, that's why.

Allow Me To Translate-Translate this,"We have to continue preventing those w/out Health Insurance from getting it." Heck, only 40,000 Americans die each year from no health insurance. A small price for THEM to pay for YOUR Freedom from Govt. Tyranny.

Interesting statistic, Sonny. So tell me... did those 40,000 die BECAUSE they had no health insurance, or of ALL the people who died last year, 40,000 happened to not have health insurance (and would have died anyway)?

"Heard the solution from Pat Buchanan last night....................."

Wow! Is he still around? How about we hear "solutions" from the obstructionists, besides obstruction. You know,
those tea party folks who want their cake, but won't share it. Gimme or I will scream, "fauxlibuster" and shut
down the government. Boehner has quite a mess on his hands, and he did it to himself.

Didn't you and somebody argue this stat several days ago? Out of the tens of millions of people without insurance, something like close to 400,000 die each year. Of that 400,000, they estimate that 10% of them, 40,000, died prematurely because they lacked health insurance...that there causes of death were preventable had they been treated in a more timely fashion.
