Wild car chase ends with suspect shot to death near U.S. Capitol

,

Washington (CNN) - She had a 1-year-old child inside and apparently was unarmed.

Instead, the motorist's black Infiniti, according to authorities, itself became a weapon Thursday afternoon, first striking a security barrier and U.S. Secret Service officer near the White House before hurtling down some of the capital's most famous streets, police cruisers in pursuit.

Dramatic video taken minutes later near the U.S. Capitol showed the vehicle backing into a police vehicle before the chase resumed. Gunshots rang through the traffic circle. The motorist was shot by police just a few blocks away.

Are you serious and everyone is acting like they're surprised. A man and his family were just attacked in a "road rage" incident. People's survival is at stake while the government acts like it's no big deal as long as their own pockets get filled and their own agendas get satisfied. Very sad that no one thought about the American who would just snap over it all. Way to go US government!!!

Great! One more reason for the House and Senate to go into recess! I hope they are all OK, but that they all poop their pants, out of fright!

Hmmmm... Looks like Americans are not to happy with what's going on in the capitol and are taking things into their own hands? Or some crazy nut job just being gun happy.

Pity it wasn't Reid himself. What was it he said last night, "Who are they (They being the members of Congress he disagrees with) to decide what get's funded and what doesn't?" Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh they are the members of Congress. It's their job. What a putz. This country will be a much better place when Harry Reid ceases to exist.

"The House and Senate went into recess after the shooting. "

I wonder if Obama will use this opportunity to make a couple more recess appointments.

I hope no one was injured, especially NRA supporters and lobbyists and politicians who get donations from NRA and people with concealed guns who take them to church on Sundays in the family SUV.

They DID ban guns in the CapitAl (And they are obviously banned in the CapitOl). However, congress overturned DC's gun ban.
