Obama blames Boehner for ongoing government shutdown

(CNN) - President Barack Obama in an exclusive interview with the Associated Press released Saturday laid responsibility for the government shutdown squarely at the feet of House Speaker John Boehner.

"We can vote to open the government today," Obama told the Associated Press. "We know that there are enough members in the House of Representatives - Democrats and Republicans - who are prepared to vote to reopen the government today. The only thing that is keeping that from happening is Speaker Boehner has made a decision that he is going to hold out to see if he can get additional concessions from us."

Much of the government has been shutdown - hundreds of thousands of workers furloughed, national parks closed, programs for anything from child care to space exploration shuttered - for five days. And it's likely to remain closed for several days if not weeks more, House Republicans concede.

The weeper is now a eunuch. He wins the speakership by three votes and that job seems to be more important than the country.

Boehner, Cantor, Cruz, and the rest of the Hee-Haw Gang had a hand in the ignorance foist upon the nation. They get reelected, and it proves that the country has something in the water supply making people nuttier than fruit cakes.

This whole fiasco could have been avoided if Obama had executive leadership experience , sorry but having been a community organizer hardly qualifies him , as is obvious now.
Failure to build bridges across the aisle as every other President before him had to do , is now the big problem and the childish name calling and disrespect is a sign that nobody is in charge.
In the private sector these people wouldn't have a job .

I blame Ted Cruz and his faux-Green eggs and Ham filibuster. The GOP is very good at playing for the camara and a dissater at governing. The President has tried to talk to them. Remember his so called "charm offensive" that the GOP jeered at while their fan base cheered them on. That is how we got here.

I blame both side. The president's job is to compromise with both parties, which he is not going. If anyone is acting like a spoiled child he is. I have first hand of how the health care act is not good for the country. My hours have been cut back to part time so my employer does not have to pay benefits, which in turn means I make less money and spend less. Tell me how that helps the encomoy.

I have to imagine that the ACA will be a wonderful thing for this country! WHY else would they fight it so fiercely!? If it was doomed to failure, and the Evil some T-Publicans claim it to be, they would be more than happy to let it fail and let the history books reflect such. They only want it delayed for election reasons and they want it dismantled so they can come out with their own version later and get the credit.

As far as the rising debt, you simply cannot compar value to even 10 years ago. In the 1960s a quarter would buy a coke, a bag of potatoe chips, and a pack of chewing gum! By the 70s it was about a dollar. And we all know what is is now. So yeah. It takes more money to run the government and everything else.

Obama excells at pointing fingers, but fails at
leadership from his position, which is President of all the people, not just Democrats. If he is not prepared or willing to
play arbitrator here, he should step aside on this issue and let Biden, with his years of
    Congressional experience, handle it.
