The Tea Party dug Boehner into this hole. He needs to sit down and negotiate with the Tea Party.

Numerous Democrats have already indicated their desire to remove the Medical Equipment Tax, but Reid will not bring this up for a vote. Why? Because he'd lose.

The people who vote need to wake up to the fact that if they vote for a republican, they have also voted for a radical faction, that may spring up at anytime and take the entire country hostage. There's no person in this nation, working for a living that needs to believe they are a part of, or beholden to the republican party. They are not now, nor will they ever be concerned about the working people or any person below millionaire status. You are not one of them.

I respectfully disagree, Rudy. Boehner is a rebel like them, otherwise he'd bring the vote to the floor. Occam's Razor, and such as.

@just asking, (or just saying - pick a handle, already)

Read the piece north of this one: the shutdown is already impacting millions. But by all means, stay in your bubble, where you continue to lack credibility.

"democrats are really really scared that the american people won't notice and don't even care about this puny partial government shutdown."

Sooooo, what you basically just admitted is that the GOP/Teatrolls are beset by such unmitigated stupidity that they believed a "puny government shutdown" would serve as massive leverage to force Obama and the Dems to agree to destroy the ACA, Obama's signature achievement as POTUS? LOL...your cake, have it or eat it (but you can't have both).

GOP/Teatrolls: "This is HUGE. This is ENORMOUS. Shutting down the gov't is awful and defaulting the nation on its debts is apocalyptic!!!! It will all be Obama's and the Dems' faults!!!! Just give us what we want and we'll help you avoid both!!!!"

Reality: "GOP/Teatrolls are getting the lion's share of the blame for all of this nonsense."

GOP/Teatrolls: "It's not big deal!!!! The shutdown is just a "slimdown" and isn't effecting anyone!!!! Gov't should be cut to this level anyway!!!! Defaulting on the nation's debt won't change anything or cause any problems at all!!!!!"

    Any questions?

Just like the war in Iraq, the GOP has no exit plan from this little attack on America. They are too dumb to see they have lost, and things will only get worse for them if they trundle down the road to default. You can't fix stupid.
