(CNN) – Rep. Paul Ryan responded Wednesday to conservative critics who chastised his Wall Street Journal opinion piece on fixing the shutdown-debt ceiling dilemma.
What was their beef? He didn't mention Obamacare, the prime target of GOP ire in the recent shutdown showdown.
Nevertheless, the 2012 Republican vice presidential nominee and House Budget Committee chairman pledged Wednesday to continue trying to chisel away at the president's signature health care law.
"We're going to keep going after Obamacare," he said on Bill Bennett's radio show. "I'm totally committed to dismantling this law."
The congressman from Wisconsin argued that Obamacare is part of the entitlement programs that he wants to reform.
"It's doing so much damage to the country," he said. "It's just terrible."

And if we had listened to Paul Ryan a few years ago we would have privatized social security and then the 2008 crash would have wiped it out. I respect that Mr. Ryan wants to do good, but he is so naïve.
WinstonSmith- Amen. 26 years on the job before my brother had an accident. No insurance. Paraplegic. If he had no family, he would have died of starvation face down in the scent of that government piss. So much going on against everything our founding fathers stood for it's sickening. Throw God out of the country, and this is what we have. Blind leading the blind and ignorance running rampant. Sweet land of liberty, on thee they pee. Lord have mercy on us all. We have elected a one man band who is most fond of his own tunes, and yet we continue to buy the records.
