Five good examples of citizens, philanthropies filling void of shutdown

(CNN) - Ours is a government of the people, by the people, for the people.

It may be time to add turned over to the people, too - if the volunteerism of a few kind people, companies and philanthropies is any indication.

    Your delusion that POTUS can do anything about it unless and until Congress actually authorizes the spending speaks volumes.

    It's so funny how you are so cynical when it comes to repubs but you think that dems are actually altruistic. You're such a sucker. If you don't think that he had anything to do with this and trying to inflict as much pain as possible, then I'd like to talk to you about a bridge I have to sell. So naive. It's almost cute.

    This is what conservatives wealthy people should be doing so that there is no need for the federal government to do the social service functions so we have less government.
