Boehner urges House GOP to support Senate deal

Washinton (CNN) - Senate leaders on Wednesday announced a deal to end the partial government shutdown and avoid a possible U.S. default, and House Speaker John Boehner urged fellow Republicans to support it while a key GOP conservative said he wouldn't try to block it in the Senate.

"We fought the good fight; we just didn't win," Boehner told a radio station in his home state of Ohio in reference to GOP efforts to dismantle or defund President Barack Obama's signature health care reforms and extract deficit reduction concessions around the need to fund the government and raise the federal borrowing limit.

"save some money outside the bank "

Sorry, but the GOP/Teatrolls decided to blow the surplus in the early days of Bush's presidency.

Cruz is an out of touch joke. What was the mentality of the people who elected him? Obviously they were clueless.

Boehner didn't fight the good fight. He fought the bad fight. Then he lost. Shut up. Sit down. Do your job.

Don't hold your breath, sports fans, the fun has just begun.

We fully expect one or more members of the House will try to screw it up.

At the last minute, these nut-bars ( fill in your favorites ), will stoop to the occasion.

They demand one more photo op, one more sound bite, one more howling gale of hot air.

    Let the festivities begin!

Thanks John1 Too bad you wouldn't let the House vote on a clean CR 2 weeks ago and then follow up on your own with budget negotiations instead of having to have it added to the Senate bill. I think you need to take your gavel and chair cushion and slip out the back door, quietly.

Hey Eddie Quinn, did you talk like that when Bush was waging 2 wars and giving the rich tax breaks at the same time? Probably not right? Funny how Repugs only complain about spending when it's the Dems who do it.

Oh good! Now we can get back to watching Syrians kill each other, ignoring the millions unemployed because they aren't government employees and being amused as Obama care buries us deeper in debt.

Republicans can preach about not overspending, but the hundreds of thousands of them who go bankrupt each year after begging loans for homes and cars they cannot pay for, and run up their credit cards to buy stuff they can't afford, are a bigger burden on the nation than our food stamp recipients.
