Federal workers' pay day - Oct. 25

Washington (CNNMoney) - Federal workers who were furloughed during the two-week shutdown will start seeing back pay in their Oct. 25 paychecks, say government officials and unions.

On top of that, the deal Congress passed late Wednesday paves the way for the Obama Administration to dole out 1% cost-of-living pay hikes for federal workers come January - the first in three years.

Now that he has screwed over hard working American taxpayers again, will the Obozo reime once again turn its laser like focus to repairing the damage it has done to the economy. It does not sound like it, sounds like more damage is on its way from his speech last nite.

Call it what you will, but you can thank Sen. Cruz for the paid leave. He's the main one with the blueberry pie all over his face. The bill the President just signed into law is fiscally identical to the one that Spkr. Boehner refused to bring to the floor of the House for a vote. Rumor has it that Boehner allowed this fiasco to play out just to show to the raucus caucus that their strategy would backfire in their faces. They had to learn it the hard way. Here's hoping for no repeat in three months.

Aaaaw, how cute....baseless, mindless hatred for middle class folks just trying to do their jobs and live their lives and who played no part in being thrown out of their jobs for 2 weeks and don't deserve to lose the pay they otherwise were willing to earn. Good for you. Your search for a class of persons to resent for no reason is complete.

It is appropriate to have them paid. They had no control over what was going on and likely wanted to continue at their jobs. If there was a strike or something else that was clearly the result of the workers and their actions, then it is a different story.

Federal employees are also "working stiffs." They were held hostage along with our government by delusional individuals. These same folks who said the shutown would save money also call themselves fiscal conservatives. Clueless!

Still cheaper than $24 billion and a percentage point lost in GDP, thanks to the GOP! Fun fact: NASA's budget is only $17 billion. We coulda paid for another NASA and then some!

Saw one of the republicant losers on an interview last night saying we would have to borrow 200 billion more to keep government running between now and the next time we do this all over again... sooooo, if we'd kept it shut down at 24 billion for two weeks, that's 12 billion a week, that's 12 and mumble, times, 4 mumble grumble, carry the 2, errr.... never mind. Appears it costs more to shut it down than it does to actually run it. Hello!
