Germany to send intelligence officials to Washington amid spying scandal

(CNN) - Germany is sending senior intelligence officials to Washington, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said Saturday, amid outrage over claims the U.S. National Security Agency monitored German Chancellor Angela Merkel's cell phone.

Among them will be the heads of Germany's foreign and domestic intelligence services and the coordinator of the federal intelligence services, the government's press office said.

There is one say which goes: "Think first before you react". This could have made much sense if the old woman Angela Merkel could had reserved her reaction, and think straight of sending her delegation to discuss about the whole matter in details. She really annoyed me with her reaction. It was not done in a diplomatic way.

Fact: If a republican president was in office and this (spying) happened, all you Obama haters would be so proud of your president for keeping us safe. Also, regardless of what Fox "spews" says, congress does have a say in who we spy on, just keep that in mind as you make your judgements.

The spying happens all the time, has been going on for years and I assure you that Germany is spying on us as well. The problem is that we are now so incompetent that we got caught. But this, like everything else is not Obama's fault. I'm sure that NOBODY is more concerned about this than he is.......sorry....just decided to save him the trouble of reading his standard line for every issue from his teleprompter .......

Um, "everybody's doing it" is not an ethical excuse to absolve responsibility. If we want to be an ethical nation, we shouldn't stop IF everyone else stops. We should just stop. Period. End of discussion. Spying is underhanded and unethical, and it's not something anyone should do, much less us. Yes, stopping will have consequences. Those consequences are worth it to be a nation that isn't morally bankrupt.

Oh no... I'm from Germany and many of us also think, that they react over... If Merkel thinks, she needs to make such a drama out of that, this doesn't mean that everybody supports.

"I'm sure that NOBODY is more concerned about this than he is.......sorry....just decided to save him the trouble of reading his standard line for every issue from his teleprompter ......."

President Obama has been cleaning up the right's messes ever since he got into office, so yeah, a lot of it isn't his fault. He's also been very forthcoming when it is his administration's responsibility. Your worn out line about the teleprompter reflects how incapable you are of critical thought – but then again, you're a rightie, so I don't expect anything different.

As she should send a delegation to discuss what has been done in her country and if it was legal by their laws. Need to remember this spying may not be legal there and the people in charge should get charged by the laws governing the country the spying occurred in.
As for Obama fixing the messes left him that was done 3 or so years ago, when will he be held accountable for his failed policies lack of leadership and failure to do his job for the citizens that elected him. He has managed to support just about everyone except the middle class he claims to care so much about. If your on food stamps, unemployment, need an obamaphone whatever else. The simple working class has been ruined by his agenda!
